Falkirk 0-1 Rangers A late lunge from Connor Barron earns the Rangers midfielder a booking and prompts complaints from the home dugout. A sore one for Ethan Williams, who has been lively. Still down receiving treatment. Celtic 1-1 Motherwell Celtic are dominating the ball early in this half, forcing Motherwell to defend two corners. Falkirk 0-1 Rangers A bright start to the second half from Falkirk. Ross Mac Iver is caught on his heels at the back post when he needed to burst forward as Calvin Miller skims in another magic cross. We're up and running again. HT: Falkirk 0-1 Rangers Kris Boyd Former Rangers striker on Sky Sports Mikey Moore, how many times do you want to be caught offside? Look across the line, you're taught that as a toddler. HT: Aberdeen 3-0 Dundee Tyrone Smith BBC Scotland at Pittodrie Aberdeen have been utterly dominant, the only disappointment for them is that they aren't even further ahead. The Dons have clicked this afternoon, all over the park, with Jesper Karlsson and Stuart Armstrong oozing quality every time they have been on the ball. For all Aberdeen have been good, Dundee have been bad. They have offered very little , but in their defence their hungry hosts haven't really allowed them to get in to any sort of groove at all. HT: Celtic 1-1 Motherwell As it stands, six teams have scored more Premiership goals than Celtic this season. No goals from open play in their past 169 minutes of league football. HT Celtic 1-1 Motherwell Martin Dowden BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park Slackness cost Celtic that equaliser but it was executed superbly by Motherwell. They will gain so much from that leveller, particularly coming just before half-time. It was actually the visitors who looked more likely as half-time approached, largely down to Celtic offering up possession repeatedly in dangerous areas. That brought howls from home fans. The home side just can't impose themselves in the manner most would expect right now. An interval lead has been rare and, once again, isn't there. HT: Falkirk 0-1 Rangers Kheredine Idessane BBC Scotland at the Falkirk Stadium Rangers manager Russell Martin will be happy to have a half-time lead. He won't be too thrilled, I'm sure, with his side's first half performance. Falkirk dominated for long spells, played the better football but were hit by the visitors' only true moment of quality, with Bojan Miovski able to tap in from Derek Cornelius's excellent ball across the box. Much to admire about Falkirk but they'll be regretting an inability to turn possession into goals. HT: Aberdeen 3-0 Dundee After no Scottish Premiership goals in six league games, the Dons go and score three goals in 11 minutes. It's also five goals in a game-and-a-half for Jimmy Thelin's men, following on from their Conference League loss to Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday. You wait for one. .. It's been a near-perfect first-half for Aberdeen. At times, they have cut Dundee to shreds. There have been a few opportunities down the other end, but a Dons side led by the thrilling Jesper Karlsson have a well-deserved lead for the first time in the league this season. The Swede opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Adil Aouchiche's bizarre second and Emmanuel Gyamfi's tidy third. It was almost four, but Jack Milne mistimed his run and was offside before he bundled in a rebound. Emmanuel Gyamfi celebrates his goal Boos are becoming a regular occurrence at Celtic Park. Apostolos Stamatelopoulos' diving header has cut out Kelechi Iheanacho's penalty. Falkirk might feel hard done by since they've been on top, but Bojan Miovski's first league goal since joining Rangers has Russell Martin's side on-course for back-to-back Premiership wins. Celtic 1-1 Motherwell Celtic's first real dangerous attack in a while ends with Daizen Maeda's pass across goal being well cleared by Liam Gordon. The following corner comes to nothing. Celtic 1-1 Motherwell Celtic skipper Callum Mc Gregor inexplicably passes straight to Tawanda Maswanhise and the Motherwell attacker nutmegs Liam Scales before entering the penalty box. He fails to get a shot off early and a big chance is gone. Aberdeen 3-0 Dundee Aberdeen have a good chance on the edge of the box but Stuart Armstrong resists the urge to hit first time. Instead, his shot is blocked behind. From the corner, Jack Milne nods into the side-netting. Bojan Miovski Relief for Rangers, and Russell Martin. A lovely pass across the box from Derek Cornelius and it's an easy finish for Miovski who just needs to slide the ball in at the back post. It's the first real quality move Rangers have put together. Apostolos Stamatelopoulos Tawanda Maswanhise's ball from the right is met brilliantly with a diving header from Apostolos Stamatelopoulos. But is the Well striker onside? Yes he is. Celtic 1-0 Motherwell That's Motherwell's first shot, and it should probably be 1-1. Marcelo Saracchi makes an error under pressure from Tawanda Maswanhise and the forward is denied by Kasper Schmeichel. Aberdeen 3-0 Dundee Almost a fourth for the rampant Dons! Jesper Karlsson whips in a free-kick behind the defence. Kevin Nisbet glances goalward but Jon Mc Cracken saves. Jack Milne is on hand to bundle it in, but he's a shade offside in the build up. Jesper Karlsson, who is on loan at Aberdeen, cost Bologna £9. 5m in August 2023 At a glance Aberdeen end six-match goal drought to run riot with first win of season Sweden international Karlsson scores twice in eye-catching performance Aouchiche and Gyamfi also on target Dons remain bottom, but now two points behind Dundee A Jesper Karlsson-inspired Aberdeen ended their Scottish Premiership goal drought and romped to their first win of the Scottish Premiership season by putting four past Dundee at Pittodrie. Jimmy Thelin's side had failed to score in their opening six games, but in the space of 11 first-half minutes they netted three to race into an unassailable lead. The opener came from the spot when Cameron Congreve needlessly handled the ball when trying to clear a corner. Up stepped Karlsson, rocketing the ball under Jon Mc Cracken for Aberdeen's first league goal of the season. Breaking that duck injected much-needed confidence into the Aberdeen players and the second followed quickly. Kevin Nisbet laid the ball off to Adil Aouchiche who, despite lying on his back, squeezed a shot into the bottom corner through a crowd of Dundee bodies. Moments later it was three. Stuart Armstrong hared down the left and picked out the under-lapping Emmanuel Gyamfi, who found the bottom corner with his weaker foot. Jack Milne had a strike rightly ruled out for offside, but the best goal was yet to come. Aberdeen tired in the second half, apart from the magnificent Karlsson. He raced on to a ball in the box, shimmied past a few defenders with the ball stuck to his foot, and lasered it into the top corner with his back to goal. Although Aberdeen remain bottom, Jimmy Thelin couldn't help but smile on the touchline as he saw a glimpse of the team that went on an impressive unbeaten run at the start of last term. When Karlsson's loan signing was announced late in the summer transfer window, it was met with serious surprise. The Sweden winger cost Serie A side Bologna almost £10m just a few years ago. He's still only 27 and was scoring barrel-loads of goals for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie as recently as 2022. It had not quite happened for him so far at Aberdeen, but he was a level above every other player on the pitch in this victory, his own team-mates included. Buzzing around like an energetic wasp, Karlsson had seven shots - no player has had more in a Premiership game this season. He also attempted nine crosses - the highest of any Aberdeen player - and completed six successful dribbles, a 100% record. All that tells you that he was an absolute nightmare for the Dundee defence, who could not cope with his quality. Dundee struggled to recover from the first goal. They had little spells in the second half, but the game was dead by then and any goal would have been a consolation. Congreve was the brightest spark, but the two key players making much-needed returns - Simon Murray and Yan Dhanda - looked rusty and didn't have the kind of connection that boss Steven Pressley needed. Too often, Dhanda was isolated or picked the wrong option and the lack of confidence Dundee side displayed at the start of the season crept back in after Aberdeen's fast start. Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin: "I'm so pleased with the performance. The players put in so much hard work in training, and in other games, and didn't get the results or goals. "We saw some signs against Shakhtar on Thursday night, and also the connection between the fans and the team growing. The energy was back. "Today, we started the game really well and the connection with the fans was there. They saw the players' effort. That's how we grow stronger. " Dundee head coach Steven Pressley: "A really disappointing afternoon. It wasn't for a lack of effort, they ran hard and worked extremely hard out of possession. "At times, the gaps between us were enormous and Aberdeen exploited that. Ultimately, as manager, I'm responsible for that.
