The Italian club are set to play Ajax at the Johan Cruyff Arena on December 12. Dutch newspapers reported that the fixture had been classified by UEFA and local police as being a 'high risk' match. Lazio have been fined in the past for racist or antisemitic behaviour from some of their fans. Supporters of the Serie A side will now be unable to attend the match following a decision taken by Amsterdam's mayor Femke Halsema, the city's police chief and the chief prosecutor of the Public Prosecution Service. The decision comes after violent scenes marred Ajax's last Europa League home match against Maccabi Tel Aviv. The priority is to monitor and maintain public order, safety and peace. ’ In September, several Lazio supporters were banned from attending their Europa League match against Dynamo Kyiv in Hamburg after German police seized weapons from them. In March, an Italian fan was arrested in Munich for performing an Adolf Hitler salute before a Lazio match against Bayern Munich. Authorities in Amsterdam had outlined the violent scenes following Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv's match in a 12-page report earlier this month.
