'I know what my responsibilities are, ' said Postecoglou ahead of Thursday's trip to Chelsea. 'I’m sure if the club decides to go in a different direction there's some outstanding candidates out there for it. And you know what, maybe someone will think, "Ah Ange Postecoglou’s not a bad coach, maybe we'll take a punt on him". 'It doesn't rock my world. It doesn’t consume me. I’m here, I’m passionate about what we’re doing. I was brought in to change the way the club plays, rejuvenate the squad, bring success, I’m focussed on that. That’s what I’ll keep doing. ' Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Fulham’s Marco Silva are among those linked with Postecoglou’s job since his team lost at Fulham on their last outing before the international break. Pochettino, sacked by Spurs in 2019 six months after leading them into the Champions League final, and now in charge of the USA, said last month he did hope he could return one day and complete unfinished business. Ange Postecoglou takes his Tottenham side to Chelsea for Thursday's Premier League clash Mauricio Pochettino, now manager of the USA, was sacked by Tottenham in 2019 — just six months after leading the club into the Champions League final for the first time in their history Thomas Frank has been linked with Tottenham after doing a fine job as manager of Brentford 'Mauricio, if he wants to come back one day, I hope it happens for him, ' said Postecoglou. 'We all have dreams and aspirations, and if that’s what he wants. 'I don’t feel disrespected. If you ask Mauricio that question directly, you’d get a pretty clear answer as to what his intent was. Again, nothing from me to sort of be consumed with. I’m more focused on trying to make sure we win tomorrow night. ' Tottenham are languishing in 14th in the Premier League after a disappointing campaign, with all hopes for the season hinging upon the Europa League. They face Eintracht Frankfurt in a quarter final, starting next week, but first they travel across London to engage with fierce rivals from Chelsea. 'We understand the significance of the fixture, ' said Postecoglou. 'They are a good side, particularly at home. They are a tough team to beat. We are going to have to perform at our best to overcome them but it is a great challenge for us. As I said, we need to try to build some momentum into the rest of the season and finish in a positive way. Going to Chelsea we know we have to play well to beat them. '
