They would be seven points behind leaders Manchester City, having played a game more. HT: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Jenna Schillaci Former Tottenham Hotspur captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 3 I've been really impressed with Liverpool. I think Arsenal started off the game really, really strong. Fantastic goal from Olivia Smith. I think Liverpool have taken time to get into it, and the goal has given them confidence, and they look a lot more confident on the ball. Defending, their work rate off the ball has been fantastic from every single player. Click the 'Get Involved' tab on this page It’s a hard watch on TV when Liverpool playing in all-green kit. Why would you camouflage your players? ! David, Cheshire Maybe that's how Beata Olsson managed to slip away from Steph Catley so easily? Ellen White Former England striker on BBC Women's Football Weekly I think first and foremost, these 12pm kick-offs have come due to a monetary value that's been put on women's football from Sky Sports, which was £65m over five years, which is great. That's never really happened before, this investment in the women's game and wanting to support our game, so that's really positive. The 12pm ones, we have multiview on a Sunday, where you can watch multiple games at one time, which is really exciting. But then the fact is, how people are going to get to those games is the issue, because of grassroots football. Then the travel that needs to be travelled, which could be hundreds of miles. That doesn't clash as much with the men's football, which is good. Hopefully, you've got more people wanting to come, but then it's about getting fans through those gates. I like that we've tried something different but it's about finding something that works best. Jen Beattie Former Arsenal defender on BBC Women's Football Weekly I think it's OK to try something new and it not necessarily get the numbers, either at the game or on TV. I think we've seen a case for even the average figure at the games have declined, and potentially 12pm kick-offs have an impact on that as well. I think there's instant, 'Let's panic' because the viewers are down, but I also think it's important to say women's football is on this growth and it's OK to try some things and it not work. We'll have analysis of the first half shortly, but first - the Women's Football Weekly podcast have been discussing the abundance of noon kick-offs in the WSL this season. The early starts have been criticised by fans, both attending matches and watching on TV. Here's what our pundits had to say. .. Arsenal started well, but lost momentum and allowed Liverpool to deservedly level. Are they set to drop even more points? Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Alessia Russo's driven cross is fisted away by Faye Kirby. We will have one minute of added time. Click the 'Get Involved' tab on this page Classic Arsenal performance. Plenty of good build up and skill on show, only to be let down by no-one willing to put their foot through the ball when in shooting distance - always an extra pass or an extra touch. Hutch Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Liverpool have to be careful not to give away the momentum. Keeper Faye Kirby plays a silly ball into midfield and Fuka Nagano is beaten to the ball. The Reds are fortunate that it runs free rather than into danger. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool It is pouring with rain at Emirates Stadium. Very reflective of the Arsenal mood right now. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Jenna Schillaci Former Tottenham Hotspur captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 3 Liverpool will be really pleased with their performance so far, and with the injuries they have and how thin their squad is, they can have their heads held high. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Suddenly it's all Liverpool. Mia Enderby is playing with confidence, cutting in from the left before having a shot blocked. They don't look like a side currently bottom of the WSL. Click the 'Get Involved' tab on this page Ball control is the Arsenal issue, but dominance is clear - more haste less speed. Alan, Kent Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Jenna Schillaci Former Tottenham Hotspur captain on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 3 Huge take there from Beata Olsson. She's so clinical in those positions. She was ready. She was alert. She keeps composed and drills the ball across the floor and into the back of the net. It's her only chance of the game, and she finishes it. That's a clinical player. Fantastic from Olsson. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool Liverpool have now scored in their last five Women's Super League games. Gareth Taylor's side remain in major trouble, but unlike so many teams who struggle they have a regular source of goals - Beata Olsson looks the real deal. The Swede is almost in again from another good ball by Mia Enderby, but this time Lotte Wubben-Moy does just enough to block the chance out. Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool This is an all too familiar story for Arsenal - dominate a game, fails to score a second goal, get punished. And it has to be said debutant keeper Anneke Borbe has not impressed so far. She was very flat footed as Beata Olsson slipped the ball past her - the first Liverpool shot of the day. Beata Olsson (30 mins) And Arsenal are punished! Mia Enderby plays a lovely ball around the corner, Beata Olsson skips away from Steph Catley and tucks the ball into the bottom corner. Olsson becomes the first ever WSL player to score in four of her first five league starts. Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool Alessia Russo mishits a cross from the right, but it nearly catches out Faye Kirby before landing on the roof of the Liverpool net. It seems inevitable Arsenal will score a second - but we've seen wastefulness from them before. Last Updated 6th December 2025 at 12: 46 Please Note: All times UK. Tables are subject to change.
