I know, it's the saddest part of my day, but many of you will now have your focus set on this evening's clash between Everton and Newcastle. It's a match that will bring to an end what has been a fabulous day of premier League footie, the action has been relentless. There were 23 goals across the 3pm kick-offs, with eight of those coming in Brentford's smashing 5-3 win over Wolves. Both Manchester City and Arsenal also took three goals, both coming from behind to beat Fulham and Southampton, respectively. And last but not least, West ham and Leicester also got much-needed victories with wins over Ipswich and Bournemouth. I think you are all caught up now. So with that being said, it's time for me to head off. Have a lovely evening. By Harry Bamforth Before we part ways this evening, I thought I would be kind by putting all the results in one post. I mean, some of you may have missed them all. So, with that in mind, here are the 3pm results in full: By Harry Bamforth Don't worry bottom half teams, I haven't forgotten you. .. There was a lot of movement between 11th and 20th this afternoon due to the bonkers results we just witnessed. West Ham have climbed above Bournemouth with their superb win over Ipswich, while Leicester climbed up two spots. Ipswich's loss didn't affect their position, but that's only because Crystal Palace, Wolves, and Southampton were all beaten. It really isn't looking good for Gary O'Neil's side. By Harry Bamforth I think we should have a little cheeky look at the table, don't you? Let's start with the top half, it's starting to look rather tasty between a certain three teams leading the way. Both Manchester City and Arsenal are now within a point of Liverpool after their comeback wins. Meanwhile, Brentford's thumping win over Wolves sees them climb up into ninth, what a start to the season they have had. The table really is starting to take shape. By Harry Bamforth This does not look like the face of a man who has just seen his side win their first game of the season. I mean, I expected Steve Cooper to be happier with Leicester picking up three points, but what do I know. I'm sure deep down he is beaming with delight. A victory was just what this Foxes side needed after a tough start to life back in the Premier League. It sees them claw away from the relegation zone and up to 15th. Cooper will be hoping this is a catalyst fr a run of form. By Harry Bamforth Phoar, now this is one hell of a statistic. If today's victory wasn't already big enough for Arsenal, it was a landmark three points for the Gunners. They have now won 400 matches at home in the Premier League era. That's a lot of games, isn't it? Only Manchester United have won more at home with 428. By Harry Bamforth Manchester City just can't be beaten at the moment. With that victory, Pep Guardiola's side are now unbeaten in their last 30 matches in the Premier League. That's a nuts run of form, isn't it? It matches the run they put together in 2017-18, the season they became 'Centurions' on their way to the Premier League title. How long can they keep this going? By Harry Bamforth My word, that was bonkers, wasn't it? 23 goals across just the five matches in the 3pm kick-offs. No rest for the wicked in the Premier League. Also, there wasn't a single draw which is a rarity in this league. The day is not over yet, though, we still have Everton's clash with Newcastle to come. I bet that will be a stalemate now. .. By Harry Bamforth The whistle goes at the Emirates. After a fairly dull first half, this match came to life after the break when Southampton took a shock lead. It didn't last long, though. Arsenal responded almost instantly and the rest is history. An important three points. By Kathryn Batte At The London Stadium By Harry Bamforth There are huge cheers at the King Power as Leicester claim their first Premier League win of the season. The Foxes had to work hard for it, but you can't say it's not deserved. By Harry Bamforth This afternoon's cracker is now at its end. We can finally relax after one of the craziest matches I have covered in my career so far. Eight goals and it's Brentford who come away with all three points. Another damaging defeat for Wolves. By Harry Bamforth There are huge cheers from the London Stadium, you can see how much that win means. At last, it all came together for Julen Lopetegui and he claims his first home Premier League win as West ham boss. What a win it is, as well. By Harry Bamforth The champions hold on. The unbeaten run at the Etihad rolls on for Manchester City and they keep the pressure on leaders Liverpool. It didn't come easy, but in the end, they prove just too strong for Fulham. By Harry Bamforth OK, so we are not done with the goals over in west London. Rayan Ait-Nouri rifles home a third goal for the visitors and celebrates by angrily kicking the floor. I think that says it all, don't you? By Harry Bamforth A five-star performance is complete from Brentford! The summer signing Fabio Carvalho has his first Premier League goal for the Bees and he won't score many easier. He taps home from around two yards out to cap a wonderful display. By Harry Bamforth Bukayo Saka does get his goal! The winger adds to his assists and kills the game off with a lovely low drive inside the area. Southampton send everyone forward in search of an equaliser and lose the ball, then it's curtains for the visitors. By Harry Bamforth Ooooooh. .. could we have a game at the Etihad? Reiss Nelson spots fellow substitute Rodrigo Muniz in the area and the striker makes no mistake. The Man City fans are suddenly on the edge of their seats again. By Harry Bamforth Southampton really are giving this a good crack. Adam Armstrong now crashes the crossbar as they search for an equaliser and David Raya is a mightily relieved man. The goalkeeper completely misses the ball from a corner to leave Armstrong free, but he can't make him pay. By Harry Bamforth Man City have a third and that's game over! It's one hell of a hit from Jeremy Doku to settle the champions' nerves and kill the game. He drives at Timothy Castagne on the left and then just smashes the ball into the far top corner. A sizzling effort. By Harry Bamforth Nearly a stunner from Tyler Dibling! The 18-year-old does incredibly well to work some space on the edge of the area and then bends the ball toward the far corner. His strike takes a slight deflection and then nicks the post on the way through. Dibling is some player, he really is. By Harry Bamforth The Wolves fans are not happy in the corner, they are watching their side get battered in west London. Bryan Mbeumo has a free header to make it five after a flurry of chances, but can't guide it home. The away side are all over the place, it's tough to watch. By Harry Bamforth Arsenal really are on a roll now. Bukayo Saka has a pair of assists already, but now he wants a goal for himself. He has a crack but causes no trouble with the strike. He should do better, really. This could get messy now. By Harry Bamforth Game, Set. Match. Ipswich throw bodies forward in search of a goal back and are punished by a swift counter attack. West Ham have players queuing up in the six-yard box to turn home the fourth and it's Lucas Paqueta who gets the joy of doing it. By Harry Bamforth Arsenal have turned it around! The Emirates erupts as Gabriel Martinelli ghosts in at the back post to smash home a Bukayo Saka cross. There is a long VAR check for offside, but the goal is given. I've seen the strike, and I'm still not sure why they checked it for so long. .. By Harry Bamforth The visitors are level. .. oh wait, no they are not. Lewis Cook has the ball in the back of the net but his celebrations are cut short. The flag is up, and the Leicester stay ahead. By Harry Bamforth Brentford are showing no mercy, they want to score more. Sam Johnstone is the only reason they do not have five as he makes a superb double save. He first palms away a Christian Norgaard piledriver before getting up to deny Vitaly Janelt from close range. By Harry Bamforth What a response from Kai Havertz. I was about to type that Arsenal now need to show their title credentials, and Kai Havertz must have been reading my mind. The Gunners win the ball high up the pitch and Havertz smashes the ball into the net via the near post. That's seven games in a row he has scored at the Emirates now. By Harry Bamforth Oh hello. .. The Emirates fall silent as Cameron Archer fires a lovely low drive beyond David Raya. I don't think anybody was expecting this, were they? By Harry Bamforth So close to a Bournemouth equaliser! Illia Zabarnyi looks like he is about to find the back of the net but watches his effort crash back off the post. The Cherries are on top at the King Power Stadium. By Harry Bamforth Arijanet Muric, what are you doing? Jarrod Bowen capitalises on a horror mistake from the Ipswich goalkeeper to give West Ham breathing space. It's a lovely finish, but my word is it an awful error. By Harry Bamforth Well, that was quick. .. Mateo Kovacic is at it again and this one really is special. The midfielder bends the ball into the left-hand corner in style. City take control. By Harry Bamforth Our five 3pm kick-offs are back underway. Will it be goals galore again? For entertainment purposes, I certainly hope so. By Harry Bamforth Ipswich Town are not fans of the first half. .. With those two west ham strikes in the opening 45, the Tractor Boys have conceded nine first-half goals in seven games. That's the most of any Premier League team so far this season. Not great. By Harry Bamforth Julen Lopetegui will be a happy man at the break. His West Ham side lead and they are certainly good value for it. Bar from their equaliser, Ipswich have not been at the races. By Harry Bamforth Boy, am I glad to hear that whistle. Yes, I said 'I'. One of the most bonkers halves of football has come to an end. It truly has been breathless. It felt like every chance ended up in the back of the net. By Harry Bamforth So far, so good, for Leicester. They are yet to win a match this season, but if they play like they just did in the first 45 minutes, that run could end today. Steve Cooper's side deserve their lead. By Harry Bamforth Now this is not the game I expected to be goalless at half-time. It's been all Arsenal, but as the half went on their frustrations grew. The chances came and went with regularity. Still, they have plenty of time to go. By Harry Bamforth The whistle goes at the Etihad. We expected Fulham to cause the champions some problems, and my word have they done just that. It's all square, and who knows how this one will finish. By Harry Bamforth Now that is one hell of a header! Brentford finally have some breathing space thanks to Ethan Pinnock. Wolves are all over the place defending a corner and Pinnock is left all alone in the area. the ball swings over to the defender and he nods it into the far corner. By Harry Bamforth This time Mohammed Kudus does find the back of the net! West Ham have been all over Ipswich and get their just reward for all the pressure. Michail Antonio hits the post and Kudus is the quickest to react to turn home. By Harry Bamforth Nearly the opener at the Emirates. Jorginho fancies a crack, which is not something I usually type, and he smashes a volley just wide of the post. Raheem Sterling was lurking and if he was alert, could have nodded that ball into the net. But he wasn't, he was away with the fairies. By Harry Bamforth We have a chance that hasn't gone in - two in fact! Mohammed Kudus looks set to score as the ball is clipped over to him in the box, but his header hits the post. Moments later, Tomas Soucek sees a strike cleared off the line. This afternoon has been simply bonkers. By Harry Bamforth That lead didn't last long. .. The goals continue to fly in across the five Premier League matches and Mateo Kovacic has the latest of them. The ball falls to him in the area following a corner and he smashes the ball beyond Bernd Leno via a deflection. Game on! By Harry Bamforth This is getting ridiculous now. .. it's goal crazy in west London. Brentford don't like drawing, do they? The hosts respond to Wolves' leveller within 120 seconds and it's their captain that delivers for them. Christian Norgaard fires the ball into the far corner with aplomb. By Harry Bamforth Wolves hit back yet again! Just six minutes after going behind, Jorgen Strand Larsen fires past Mark Flekken with a fine strike. What a match this is proving to be. By Harry Bamforth Wow, Fulham lead at the home of the champions. Raul Jiminez has been on fire this season and he has just provided one of the best assist I have ever seen. He back heel chips the ball into the six-yard box for Andreas Pereira to smash home. What an assist, what a goal. By Harry Bamforth Ooh, very nearly the opener for Fulham. The visitors hit Man City on the counter as Raul Jimenez sends Adama Traore on his bike with a trivela pass. The number 11 races away and is bearing down on goal, but he can't get the better of Ederson. I bet Wolves fans remember that combination at the Etihad well. .. By Harry Bamforth What a penalty that is! That is why Bryan Mbeumo is the penalty taker. He ambles up to the ball and then sends Sam Johnstone the wrong way with a thumping effort. Brentford are back in front. By Harry Bamforth Nathan Collins, aren't you meant to be a defender? The Brentford centre-back finds himself in the Wolves box again and this time he is hauled to the ground by Mario Lemina. After a VAR check, the penalty is given. The way he is playing, I'd let Collins take the spot kick. .. but he isn't, Bryan Mbeumo will step up. By Harry Bamforth Leicester hit the front! And what a goal it is from Facundo Buonanotte. He picks up the ball on the right, drives into the box, and smashes the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga. The King Power is rocking, that's the type of football they have been hoping for all season. The best goal of the day by far. By Kathryn Batte At The London Stadium By Harry Bamforth Not too much excitement at the Etihad either. Manchester City are working the ball around the Fulham backline in the hope of a lapse in concentration. There hasn't been one, so far. By Harry Bamforth It's not been quite as exciting in north London compared to the east and west of the capital. Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are on top and Gabriel gets his head to a corner, but this time he seas his effort blocked. By Harry Bamforth I can't catch a break. Liam Delap is at it again and this is another brilliant goal from the Ipswich forward. He picks the ball up on the edge of the box following a corner, decides to turn, and then fires it low into the near corner via the hand of Alphonse Areola. Parity restored. By Aadam Patel At Gtech Community Stadium By Harry Bamforth My word. .. Well, that didn't take long. Wolves work the ball brilliantly into the area from the right and Matheus Cunha is in acres of space. He skews the shot but it still floats into the top right-hand corner, and the visitors are level. What an opening few minutes. By Harry Bamforth It's goals galore, this is ridiculous. West Ham have outdone their London counterparts by scoring inside 60 seconds at the London Stadium. Michail Antonio gets on the end of a Jarrod Bowen pass to slide the ball home inside the box. Simply incredible. By Harry Bamforth You have to be joking me. .. Brentford have scored early yet again, but this time it's inside the second minute. Pretty poor if you ask me. Nathan Collins is inside the area for some reason and is there to nod home the opener. I genuinely can't believe it, what is Thomas Frank feeding his team? By Harry Bamforth The Champions are underway at the Etihad. By Harry Bamforth By Harry Bamforth By Harry Bamforth Will I be typing a goal post inside a minute this weekend? We are about to find out, the ball is now rolling at the Gtech Community Stadium In west London. By Harry Bamforth Our feature game is underway at the Emirates. Can Arsenal respond to Liverpool extending their lead at the top of the league? By Kathryn Batte At The London Stadium By Harry Bamforth Raheem Sterling is smiling, and I'm sure you all know why. Mikel Arteta has decided to hand the winger his full Premier League debut this afternoon. Can he repay him with a stellar performance? He will hope so. By Harry Bamforth Thanks, Adrian! I adore 3pm kick-offs, so it's a pleasure to be back on reporting duty for these five matches. We only have to wait 10 more minutes until the 10 teams take to the pitch. Get your seatbelts at the ready, this could be a bumpy ride. By Adrian Bishop The electronic board has gone up here at Mail Sport before today's 3pm kick-offs have even begun. My number has been called and I will be leaving you in the very capable hands of my colleague Harry Bamforth as he takes you through all the action in what promises to be an exciting day of Premier League football. By Adrian Bishop A lot of eyes will be fixated on Aaron Ramsdale today as he prepares to walk out on the turf at the Emirates. Just two short years ago the 26-year-old had cemented himself as the Gunners' undisputed No 1 as they took Manchester City to the wire in the title race. Margins are fine at the most elite level, and Mikel Arteta brought in David Raya to upgrade his side as they continue to try and go that all-important one step further. Ramsdale now faces an entirely different set of circumstances at relegation-threatened Saints. He will need to be at his absolute best to keep his former side at bay. By Adrian Bishop With kick-off less than 30 minutes away fans have descended on the Emirates as Arsenal look to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign. Liverpool have set the tempo by cementing their lead at the top of the table in the early kick off. Now Mikel Arteta's side must prove they are capable of keeping pace with the Reds against Russel Martin's Saints. By Adrian Bishop With team news for today's games out of the way, let's take a look at what happened in the early kickoff as Crystal Palace hosted Liverpol. Oliver Glasner has so far been unable to replicate his side's form from the latter part of last season, and the visit of Arne Slot's rampaging Reds was always going to be a tricky one. Diogo Jota heaped misery on the hosts by giving them the lead after just nine minutes but Liverpool will have concerns of their own after Alisson was forced off injured in the closing stages. Full report below: By Adrian Bishop Jamie Vardy once again leads the line for Leicester as they welcome Bournmouth to the King Power stadium this afternoon. The 37-year-old will be looking to add to the two goals he has scored this season as the Foxes aim to rebound from a 4-2 defeat against Arsenal last weekend. Steve Cooper has made just one change from that game, with Jordan Ayew replacing Harry Winks. Likewise Bournemouth have also made just one alteration from their win over Southampton, with Justin Kluivert coming into the XI. By Adrian Bishop Kalvin Phillips will return to the scene of his ill-fated loan move last season as Ipswich travel to West Ham looking to build on an impressive draw with Aston Villa last week. Kieran Mc Kenna has made several changes for the clash, with former Hammers star Ben Johnson starting at full-back and Wes Burns returning to the starting lineup. Julen Lopetegui has found himself under increasing pressure after picking up just one win from his first six Premier League games this season. However, the Spaniard has named an unchaged XI from the one that was held to a draw against Brentford. By Adrian Bishop Brentford captain Christian Norgaard has returned to the starting lineup as they play host to Wolves this afternoon. The 30-year-old started the Bees' first four Premier League games this season before missing their last two through injury. Meanwhile Wolves boss Gary O'Neil has made two changes to the team that were beaten by league leaders Liverpool last week. Craig Dawson and Carlos Forbs have been named in the starting XI as they look to climb off the bottom of the table at the Gtech Community Stadium. By Adrian Bishop Mikel Arteta has handed Raheem Sterling his first Premier League start since joining Arsenal on a season-long loan on deadline day. The former England international takes the place of Gabriel Martinelli, while Garbiel Jesus replaces Leandro Trossard who has dropped to the bench. Thomas Partey will fill in at right-back for the gunners with Ben White unavailable, with Jorginho filling the gap in midfield. For the visitors Kyle Walker-Peters gets the nod ahead of Charlie Taylor in defence while Ross Stewart has been entrusted to lead the line ahead of Tyler Dibling. By Adrian Bishop Erling Haaland will start for Manchester City this afternoon despite concerns surrounding his fitness. However, Pep Guardiola has made several changes to the side that picked up a comfortable win against Slovan Bratislava in midweek. Ederson, Ruben Dias, Mateo Kovacic, Jack Grealish have all returned to the starting lineup as the champions continue to navigate the loss of Rodri through injury. Meanwhile Marco Silva has made a change to the side that picked up a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last week. There is no place in the starting XI for summer signing Emile Smith-Rowe who makes way for fellow new arrival Sander Berge. By Adrian Bishop This afternoon's showdown marks the return of Aaron Ramsdale to the Emirates after departing the club for Southampton this summer. After starring in the Gunners' title charge during the 2022-23 campaign, Ramsdale found himself embroiled in a protracted saga after Arteta signed David Raya last summer. Arteta claimed the two would both vie for the No 1 spot but it soon became clear that Raya had usurped the Englishman, and he was limited to just 6 Premier League appearances before completing a £25m move to Saints. Ramsdale discussed his feelings surrounding his final season in north London earlier this week. Read below: By Adrian Bishop Kai Havertz has looked like a player reborn after his difficult start to life at the Emirates. More than a few eyebrows were raised when the Germany international made his way across London to join the Gunners from Chelsea last summer. The doubters appeared to have been vinidicated as he endured a slow start to life in Mikel Arteta's side, scoring just once in his first twelve league appearances in the 2023-24 campaign. However, after completing the season with 14 goals in all competitions Havertz's confidence appears to be at an all-time high and he demonsrated just how valuable his is for Arsenal by opening to scoring against PSG on Tuesday. All five of Havertz's goals this season have come at the Emirates per Squawka's stat pack, and he will be looking to add to that tally this afternoon. By Adrian Bishop Welcome to Mail Sport's live coverage of this afternoon's 3pm Premier League fixtures including Arsenal's showdown with Southampton. The Gunners will be desperate to continue their impressive start to the campaign, especially after cementing themselves as early contenders to go all the way in Europe with a comfortable Champions League win over PSG in midweek. Meanwhile Southampton will be looking to pull off the most unlikely of upsets as they travel to the Emirates having picked up just one point since their return to the top flight. We will also have news and updates from all of today's 3pm fixtures right here, including Man City's clash with Fulham, Wolves vs Brentford, Leicester vs Bournemouth and West Ham vs Ipswich.
