The 31-year-old has two years remaining on his existing contract at Villa Park and is the subject of interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray who have made a habit of trying to lure Premier League stars to the nation. Journalists with inside knowledge of a potential transfers often share information to avid followers on social media platforms, with Turkish reporter Yagız Sabuncuoglu sharing an update with his over 1million X followers on Wednesday. Galatasaray have however allegedly offered to cover the entirety of Digne's salary and asked Villa's representatives if they could have permission to open direct talks with the player. The bizarre revelation gives a rare insight into the world of football negotiations, with the hilarious exchange between Digne and Sabuncuoglu so far being viewed over 10million times.
