Harrison Burrows scored his first goal of the season for Sheffield United, and picked up an assist in the lead up to Tyrese Campbell's stoppage time goal Sheffield United picked up a second win in a row and moved out of the Championship bottom three as they fought from a goal down to sink fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers. The hosts led just before half-time courtesy of Yuki Ohashi's second goal of the season, and first in seven games, as he turned in from close range. It took just eight minutes into the second half for Sheffield United to equalise as Axel Henriksson turned into his own net inside the box. The visitors were ahead soon when Callum O'Hare fed Harrison Burrows to drive low into the bottom corner, while Tyrese Campbell scored in stoppage time to put the shine on a well-earned win. Sheffield United came into the trip to Ewood Park having beaten Watford at the weekend, a victory which lifted them off the bottom of the table, and they hit the ground running by compounding Blackburn's misery. Tuesday's result means the hosts are still searching for a first home league victory of the season, yet they started well and could have taken the lead on 25 minutes but Yuki Ohashi failed to hit the target from Henriksson's low delivery. The Blades hit back as Japhet Tanganga did well to beat his marker and get an outstretched foot to Sam Mc Callum's corner, drawing a fantastic save from Rovers goalkeeper Balasz Toth. Despite Sheffield United building some momentum, it was Blackburn who took the lead on the verge of half-time at the end of a stunning counter-attack. Andri Gudjohnsen whipped a ball in from the right into the path of Dion de Neve who teed up Ohashi to steer home in front of goal. The equaliser came via some some quick thinking from Djibril Soumare to get on to Tanganga's header, with Henriksson putting the ball into his own net as he struggled to keep out Soumare. The Blades' turnaround was complete with 20 minutes remaining as Blackburn failed to pick up Burrows who floated in on the left, striking low past a diving Toth. With time running out, Burrows then put in a sumptuous low cross in towards Campbell who finished with ease in front of goal, to send United up to 21st and Blackburn down to 23rd as a result. We just lacked that little bit of quality, we just needed to smooth it out a little bit. "I was disappointed to come in at half-time down in the game because I didn't think there was a lot in it and I thought we had the better opportunities to hurt them but we didn't and they took their chance. "We got asked a question at half-time and it was no good feeling sorry for ourselves, we had to be brave and courageous and calm in our approach. We did that. "I thought there was a real desire and drive from the players to get back into the game and go and win it which was really satisfying from my point of view. It was another great performance. The only thing that would concern me is, again, we gave away too many chances. I don't know how many chances we need to score more goals. "We scored the first goal and in the second half we began on the front foot and all of a sudden, from a set piece, Sheffield United were back in the game. "For us, at the minute the confidence is very difficult. "We did a lot and put a lot of energy into the game, we were on the front foot and comfortable with the ball but we lost the game again. " Blackburn face Southampton in the Championship on Saturday as they aim for a first home league win of the 2025-26 season. Meanwhile, Sheffield United make their second trip to Lancashire this week as they face Preston North End at Deepdale on Friday.
