It is the first time the Bees have achieved five successive away league wins since 2010 when they played in League 1. It meant that Thomas Frank maintained his curse over the Cherries, whom they have not lost to in nine league games, a run stretching back to 2014. He said: 'That's a fantastic record, unbelievable. Now we just need to keep the away record and hopefully add five home wins. 'I thought it was a very good game, especially in the first half. Second half I thought Bournemouth started better. We scored a great, ugly goal from a long throw that won us the game. ' The Cherries have soured a little in the last two months. ' It was a high octane start from both sides but there were no clear signs of a breakthrough until Vitaly Janelt put Milos Kerkez's cross into his own net as he attempted to prevent the ball reaching Marcus Tavernier. Before that, Frank will have been happy with his side's start to the game with Kevin Schade causing problems for Bournemouth's defence in the opening minutes. They were deservedly level when Yoane Wissa headed in Bryan Mbuemo's corner with Kepa having come of his line and punched at thin air. Moments lates, Mbuemo almost had Brentford in front as he cut in from the right and pulled a shot just wide of the near post. Bournemouth were not quite at their fluent best but it was they who were dominating possession and territory. Brazilian striker Evanilson went close as he tried to convert Dean Huijsen's cross at the far post with Bees keeper Mark Flekken clawing his effort away from the crossbar. Moments after the restart for the second half, Antoine Semenyo went closer still as he crashed a header against the crossbar from Justin Kluivert's excellent cross with Bournemouth back in the ascendancy. But, with these two relentlessly physical sides threatening to cancel each other out, Brentford took a surprise lead when the Bournemouth defence failed to deal with Kevin Schade's long throw allowing Christian Norgaard to sneak in and volley home the bouncing ball.
