Sources have confirmed the Blues are set to secure the 20-year-old Englishman after chasing him since the summer window opened. Gittens has already appeared for Dortmund at the Club World Cup and so would not be able to be added to Chelsea's squad, should they beat Benfica in their last-16 clash. He is set to sign a seven-year contract which was agreed earlier this month, and is going to undergo a medical over the weekend. Chelsea previously had a £42million bid turned down by Dortmund before striking their new deal. The Seagulls have turned down two bids for Pedro from Premier League sides – one from Chelsea and another from Newcastle, both believed to have been at around £50m. Brighton want £60m.
