If 16-year-old academy product Rob Tankiewicz comes on against Leyton Orient, he'll become the Bluebirds' youngest player of all time. The current record is held by Aaron Ramsey, who made his debut at 16 years
and 123 days old against Hull City in April 2007, breaking John Toshack's benchmark that had
previously stood for 42 years. As of today, central midfielder Tankiewicz
is 16 years and 114 days old. #bbcefl What's wrong at Shrewsbury town? Non-league next season! Stephen Second bottom of League Two following relegation last season and a second takeover deal recently collapsing in the space of six months. It's not been the most enjoyable time for Shrews fans. They're away at Barrow today - start of the turnaround? #bbcefl This video can not be played Cheltenham Town new manager Steve Cotterill talks about returning & the challenges ahead. Chesterfield, who sit sixth in the congested play-off positions, visit a Colchester side who have won just one of
their opening 10 league games this season. Cambridge will be hoping to put a
some pressure on teams just above them in the table and get closer to those
play-off places when they welcome Crawley. Likewise will be Fleetwood who make
the journey to bottom club Cheltenham who will have a familiar face in their
dugout at the EV Charger Points Stadium. Steve Cotterill takes charge of his first
game 23 years after returning and replacing Michael Flynn earlier in the week.
He has a massive task ahead to steer the Robins away from danger. They have one win in 10 games so far this
season, while they have the lowest goal scoring tally in the division with four
and the most conceded with 24. Struggling Tranmere who are winless
in their past five in the league travel to Bromley who are also winless but in
their past four. Both side desperate for three points in this one. And second from bottom Shrewsbury
will be aiming to avoid making it four defeats on the bounce when they travel
to a Barrow side who in turn will be hoping to notch their third win in a row. Salford v Grimsby (15: 00) It’s fourth (Salford) v fifth (Grimsby) as these two
promotion-chasers go head-to-head at the Peninsula
Stadium with one point separating the two sides. Salford missed the chance to go joint top, go five games
unbeaten and make it four wins on the spin after they were stunned by Bristol
Rovers in a 2-1 defeat last weekend. Karl Robinson will know the
importance of his side’s latest assignment given not only that result but how close
these two are in the league. The Ammies are unbeaten across their
past four home league games with three wins and one draw. Haji Mnoga is unavailable today with concussion. The defender had his red card in last
Saturday's match at Bristol Rovers overturned but injury sees Jorge Grant come in. Grimsby go into today’s game off the
back of a 7-1 thrashing of basement side Cheltenham. The Mariners have lost just two of
their past 14 away league games, though will be looking to avoid losing
successive matches on the road for the first time since January earlier this
year. Jamie Walker, who scored a brilliant brace against
Cheltenham, will be looking to continue his good form after netting his first
goals of the season. Walsall v Bristol Rovers (15: 00 BST) Being around top spot in League Two? Oh, that's familiar territory for Walsall and their supporters but those fans will also tell you it's not how you start but how you finish. A Devon Loch style collapse from runaway leaders to play-off failure still stings a little in the West Midlands but Mat Sadler has steadied the ship and here we are again. The Saddlers tally of 22 points from their 10 games is their best start to a season since 2006 - they were promoted at the end of that campaign by the way. Bristol Rovers ride into town feeling pretty happy about things themselves. Having lost their opening three games after relegation last season, Darrell Clarke's men are unbeaten in the subsequent seven outings with five victories. In Fabrizio Cavegn they also have one of the division's in-form strikers with three goals in his past three matches for the Swiss forward. League One AFC Wimbledon's three-match winning streak puts them in the top six but to guarantee they stay there they will need to defeat a Blackpool side desperate to avoid becoming bottom of the pack. Peterborough will be hoping they can escape the basement as they visit Bolton Wanderers. Plymouth will hope to leapfrog visitors Wigan by consolidating last week's stellar performance over the Brewers. Port Vale seek a fourth successive win as they host Northampton. Only a win for Reading will guarantee they don't fall into the bottom four as they welcome mid-pack Mansfield Town. #bbcefl Born in Lincoln in 1946. My father took me to every Lincoln City home game. I still follow Lincoln and am delighted to see their recent progress. In my 79th year, I think it's time I took a trip to see a Lincoln City FC home game again this season. John Thanks for that lovely message John - hope you get along to see them soon! Lincoln v Exeter (15: 00 BST) Naz Premji BBC Final Score commentator at LNER Stadium Lincoln City could return to the top of League One with victory over Exeter City this afternoon. The Imps train is certainly on
track at the LNER Stadium and Michael Skubala is working wonders with his
squad. The former Leeds United coach has certainly taken to management very
well and his team play an exciting and effective brand of football. Today's
visitors are well settled in League One with this being their fourth campaign
at this level. The aim for them every season is to make sure they stay in the
division and anything else is pretty much a bonus. The Grecians have made an OK, if not spectacular
start to the season, and have beaten Peterborough with ease but lost at
Stevenage, who like today's hosts, are flying high. This has the
makings of an exciting game and potentially lots of goals! Cardiff v Leyton Orient (15: 00 BST) Owain Gwynedd Griffith BBC Final Score at Cardiff City Stadium The sun is peaking out at a blustery
Cardiff City Stadium where both Cardiff and Leyton Orient are hungry for three points to get their seasons back
on track. City’s defeat midweek against, then bottom placed Burton, was their second home
defeat in a row. Whilst Orient, last year's play-off runners-up, have only one
win in the last six in the league. That said, the Bluebirds fans are relaxed and confident ahead of this one, knowing the young Cardiff team full of home grown talent, have only conceded
six in ten matches. Three of those against Bradford two weeks ago. Stevenage v Luton (15: 00 BST) This video can not be played Boro manager Alex Revell looking ahead to the big game against local rivals Luton Town. Seven wins out of nine league games has put Stevenage in reaching distance of the top of the table this afternoon - and boss Alex Revell couldn't be more pleased. "They're proud days as a manager to watch, with everyone buying into it, " Revell told BBC Three Counties Radio. "The people have turned up because of what they've done [the players] and what they've been doing. For the fans to see them work hard for the badge means a lot. " But in order to find themselves at the very apex of the league, they will need to beat their local rivals Luton, a side who were in the Premier League just two years ago and looking for an immediate bounce back to the Championship. Plus the Hatters are led by Matt Bloomfield, Revell's former team-mate and a coach who took Wycombe Wanderers to the top of the table last season before departing for Kenilworth Road. Huddersfield Town v Stockport County (15: 00 BST) This video can not be played Huddersfield manager Lee Grant says they'll stick to their playing principles against Stockport. These two haven't played each other much over recent years - their fortunes were on a very different trajectory. While Huddersfield were 'enjoying' a couple of seasons in the Premier League, Stockport had to rebuild all the way from the National League North but there they both are on equal footing. Not that West Yorkshire has ever been a particularly happy hunting ground for the Hatters - their last win was back in April 2000 - and it'll take something to come away with a win today. Huddersfield are unbeaten at home with four wins and four clean sheets while only the leaders Bradford (20) and Lincoln (17) have scored more than the Terriers 16 goals so far this season. Mind you, Stockport have cracked home 15 of their own, the trouble is the 13 they've also conceded. This could be nice and open. .. .so 0-0 it is then! FT: Newport 0-1 Swindon Paul Bodin Former Swindon Defender on BBC Radio Wiltshire It was a resolute, determined performance and it wasn't the best in terms of technical or tactical football. Swindon worked hard and we had to stick in, stick together and defend right to the very end. It was just about a deserved three points, and Newport did everything they could. They are still fighting and they are fighting for their league status and if they play like that every week I don't see why they can't stay up. Doncaster 1-1 Burton Tyrese Shade's first goal for the club earns Burton a deserved point. Charlie Webster hit the bar early for the visitors only for them to fall behind to Matty Pearson's header. Joe Sbarra also had an effort cleared off the line for Doncaster before Burton came roaring back in the second period with Jake Beesley hitting a post and having one kicked off the line. Webster then had a shot headed off the line by Tom Nixon before Shade controlled well to shoot past Ian Lawlor to lift the Brewers out of the relegation zone, at least for now. Newport 0-1 Swindon Back-to-back wins for Swindon who top League Two ahead of the 15: 00 BST kick-offs thanks to Ollie Palmer's first half goal.
That's two in two for the former Wrexham man who came into the starting XI at the last minute after Aaron Drinan pulled out. Newport suffer their third defeat on the bounce and have not won at Rodney Parade now in their past 11 attempts. They'll need points soon and fast as they languish above the drop zone. MK Dons 3-2 Gillingham MK Dons end a three-game losing run at home and Gillingham suffer back-to-back league defeats for the first time since February. Sam Gale's own goal gave MK Dons a half-time lead from a first half in which Gillingham failed to have a single effort on target. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Calum Paterson added second-half goals to seemingly secure the three points only for Seb Palmer-Houlden and Jonny Williams to make it a nervy finish. Wycombe 2-2 Barnsley A strong finish for Wycombe means they claw back a two-goal deficit and gain a point at home. With the Chairboys seemingly unable to pose a threat and Davis Kellior-Dunn producing his magic for Barnsley, it spelt a loss for the hosts. But Wycombe heated up in the closing stages to find two late goals within five minutes and share the spoils, just in time. Jonny Williams (90 + 4 mins) Surely not. .. Jonny Williams finishes nicely past Craig Mac Gillivray to give us some late drama. Alex Lowry (90+3 mins) Well, well, well. Wycombe have turned up right on time as Alex Lowry curls a pretty little strike into the net to find an equaliser. That's the hosts second shot on target all match and their second goal. It's all about the chances you take, I guess. MK Dons 3-1 Gillingham More rutting in midfield. Jonathan Leko is cautioned for MK Dons for getting involved in something needless. Newport 0-1 Swindon Bobby Kamwa is through in the box but Finley Munroe makes a vital tackle. Great defending there from the Swindon man in these last few minutes.
