One name who might feature in today's squad announcement is Lauren James, who missed the previous pair of friendlies with injury. James sustained the injury at Euro 2025, which severely hampered her performances in the latter stages and caused her to miss the start of Chelsea's season. The 23-year-old told BBC Sport that fans were "too quick to judge" and her injury problems and criticism during the tournament affected how much she was able to enjoy the Lionesses' historic triumph in Switzerland. James has returned to action for Chelsea in the past week with two sub appearances. Whether she is fit enough for the England squad remains to be seen. " Hampton, who was England's starting keeper at Euro 2025, missed the friendly against Brazil last month, with Khiara Keating making her debut.
