Rob Holding has removed any trace of Crystal Palace off his social media profiles after being banished from their first team. A number of players were iced out of their respective sides this summer, including Raheem Sterling at Chelsea before his move to Arsenal. But whilst the spotlight rested on Chelsea's 'bomb squad', Holding's situation went under the radar. Fans have now spotted he has unfollowed Palace on Instagram. The 28-year-old has also deleted all Eagles content he had on his socials, with no evidence of him playing for them left on his profile. Holding signed for the Eagles from Arsenal in 2023, joining on a three-year deal for a reported £4million. He's made just one appearance in that time - starting at Manchester United in the League Cup in a 3-0 defeat in September 2023. Otherwise, the former Bolton defender has been on the bench or not made the match day squad at all. He was an unused substitute for Palace's 2-0 loss at West Ham in the Premier League last month, but has otherwise been left out the squad. Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed the ex-Arsenal defender, who has struggled with injuries since his arrival at Selhurst Park, is training alone. Glasner said: “Rob [Holding] is training individually at the moment. "We will talk together. He knows the reason, but it is something that stays between Rob and me. "Nothing public. ” Holding has plummeted down the pecking order at Palace following the arrival of Chadi Riad, Maxence Lacroix and Chelsea outcast Trevoh Chalobah. After signing for Arsenal from Bolton for £2million in 2016, Holding made 162 appearances for the Gunners. He won two FA Cups with them in that time, first in 2017 and then again in 2020. His Palace contract expires in 2026. Have your say on all things talk SPORT by joining ‘The DUGOUT’ – our new listener panel.
