It was a brilliant delivery and header. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Chris Sutton Former Blackburn striker on BBC i Player My first impression was Augustus Kargbo took a dive. He has been such a threat. He is draining the life out of Santiago Bueno. But he is better than that. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Conor Mc Namara Commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live I don't think it's a penalty, but I don't think it's a dive. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves This Augustus Kargbo is a livewire and great to watch! He fires down the left with a fancy bit of footwork, cuts inside the Wolves defence and goes down looking for a penalty but that's a clear dive. In the book you go! Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Paul Robinson Former Blackburn goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live What a stunning ball that was from John Buckley. On the half-volley - an incredible pass. Emmanuel Dennis playing on the shoulder, but it was incredible defending from Rodrigo Gomes. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves It's a fairly even game so far, there aren't many league positions between these two and it shows at the moment. Wolves win a corner and it's cleared, Blackburn have a one-on-one and Rodrigo Gomes does brilliantly as the last defender to win the ball and clear! Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Chris Sutton Former Blackburn striker on BBC i Player I tell you what, that's extremely close. There's no VAR, so the decision will stand but that is as tight as anything. Blackburn manager John Eustace will feel hard done by. #bbcfootball, via Whats App on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply) Nicholas: Oh dear. I think it's linesmen 0-2 VAR. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Some tackles are flying in now and referee Lewis Smith is happy to let plenty go. This could get interesting! Blackburn 0-0 Wolves He looked level at worst there, Blackburn have got the wrong end of the 'No VAR yet' stick there I think. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Paul Robinson Former Blackburn goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live My initial thought was they'll check that. It looks extremely tight. If there was VAR they'd be drawing the lines! Blackburn 0-0 Wolves John Buckley whips in a free-kick beautifully, Dom Hyam gets round the back to bury a header but the offside flag is up quick as a flash. Corrrr that's close! Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Paul Robinson Former Blackburn goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live It's the first time I've seen Augustus Kargbo in the flesh, but he's very direct. Every time he gets the ball he goes forward. He's an old-fashioned winger. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves As clear a yellow as you'll ever see as Matheus Cunha drifts past John Buckley on the touchline and the Rovers man just chops him down. Seconds later at the other end Augustus Kargbo drives forward and is tripped by Santiago Bueno - who is also booked. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves I'm a big Matheus Cunha fan and again he impresses with some fine footwork on the Wolves left, his ball in finds Hwang on the edge of the box and his shot is brilliantly blocked by a sliding Danny Batth. The game is bubbling to life. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Paul Robinson Former Blackburn goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live He has looked lively Emmanuel Dennis. He's dropping deep and drawing in the centre-halves. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Blackburn have actually signed six players in the last month - maybe not the 'right' signings the fans were after though. They are having a good spell now, mind as Emmanuel Dennis puts himself about. #bbcfootball, via Whats App on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply) If Eustace leaves, it speaks volumes of Venky's, the CEO Steve Waggott and Suhail Shaikh and their total lack of commitment to the club. A promising season sabotaged again by owners and a board who refuse to invest, despite bringing in significant transfer income in the last 18 months. Cheap loans, short-term deals, contracts running down and total silence from the board as they let another manager down. Larry Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Chris Sutton Former Blackburn striker on BBC i Player What a start it could have been and should have been for Augustus Kargbo. He's got to get over that one. It's a brilliant opportunity for Blackburn and he knows he should have made the goalkeeper work. Blackburn 0-0 Wolves Paul Robinson Former Blackburn goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live Much better from Blackburn Rovers. The long diagonal ball, they're making use of the wide players. It's not a good strike from Augustus Kargbo, but it's better from Blackburn. Wolverhampton Wanderers have won four of their last five away games against Blackburn Rovers (D1), since losing 3-0 in the Premier League in December 2010. Blackburn have progressed from each of their last six FA Cup fourth round ties, reaching at least the fifth round in each of the last two seasons. They last lost at this stage of the competition in 2010-11 (1-3 v Aston Villa). Wolves are looking to reach the FA Cup fifth round in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1993-94/1994-95. They’ve also won their last two away games in the competition, last winning three consecutively between March 1998 and December 1999. Andreas Weimann netted Blackburn’s winner in the third round against Middlesbrough, his first FA Cup goal since January 2017 (for Wolves against Liverpool). All four of his goals in the competition have either come in the third round (2) or fourth round (2). Copyright © 2025 BBC. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external sites.
