Gary Oliver drilled in Falkirk's fourth goal Falkirk moved six points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship after putting six goals past shellshocked Morton. The Bairns took the lead through Keelan Adams early in the first half, with Calvin Miller's free-kick inch perfect for the defender to dispatch a powerful header. Despite making two brilliant saves after conceding the opener, Morton goalkeeper Lewis Budinauckas could do nothing about Falkirk's second goal as Ethan Ross met another great ball in from Miller with a low diving header. The second half was barely a minute old when Falkirk added to their lead. Brad Spencer tucked away a penalty after Gary Oliver was brought down in the box. Oliver then made it 4-0 before the influential Miller got in on the act as he squeezed a header in at the near post. Spencer grabbed his second of the afternoon as Falkirk were rewarded for their complete dominance. The win means Falkirk are unbeaten in six games, while eighth-place Morton have lost their last three. Falkirk manager John Mc Glynn: "They were awesome. A great performance, six goals and a clean sheet, what more can you ask for? "They were a joy to watch and the fans were thoroughly entertained. It's a third of the league gone, 12 games, and we're sitting six points clear. " Morton manager Dougie Imrie: "I think we made it easier for them. To be fair, I didn't see that coming, but credit to Falkirk, they were excellent and ruthless when the opportunities came around. " Last Updated 2nd November 2024 at 16: 56 Please Note: All times UK.
