In a video posted by the club's official account on X, formerly Twitter, a Canaries fan named Jack is handed the stadium announcer's microphone as he feigns to attempt a crossbar challenge. Approaching his girlfriend Brandice, he can be heard saying: 'I know you're not expecting this but from the moment I met you I knew you were the one for me. ' After getting down on one knee to ask Brandice if she would marry him - to which she said yes - the newly-engaged couple shared a kiss on the pitch. But as the stadium announcer asked if he had thought about a honeymoon for the couple, West Brom fans could be heard chanting 'you don't know what you're doing'. The PA then revealed that the pair had been given a free five-night holiday by the Gran Canaria Tourism Board to celebrate. SHE SAID YES! ! ? In 2023, Norwich announced a partnership with the board of the popular Spanish holiday destination in collaboration with La Liga side Union Deportiva Las Palmas. In a statement announcing the deal at the time, Norwich's Commercial Director Sam Jeffery said: 'This has been a collaboration long in the making, with discussions between the club, UD Las Palmas, La Liga and the Gran Canaria Tourist Board having been ongoing for nearly a year. 'We are grateful for the support of the Executive team at UD Las Palmas in helping us to grow our relationship with the Gran Canaria Tourist Board and secure this exciting new partnership. 'In recent weeks, representatives of Norwich City have been fortunate enough to see first-hand that Gran Canaria is a fantastic destination, and we are thrilled to announce this significant deal. ' Ed Turnham, the club's Head of Sales and Acquisition, added: 'It's been an absolute pleasure working with Pablo and Noelia from the Gran Canarian Tourist Board and UD Las Palmas respectively to get this deal done. 'When we visited Gran Canaria last month I was taken by the vibrancy and beauty of the island, whilst UD Las Palmas, a newly promoted La Liga club, clearly display a number of the same core values that we hold dear at Norwich City. 'As a result, we can't wait to get started on delivering a transformational partnership. '
