By TAMARA PRENN, SENIOR SPORTS REPORTER Published: 18: 14 AEST, 2 October 2025 | Updated: 19: 49 AEST, 2 October 2025 18 View comments Alisha Lehmann has appeared to declare her single status after seemingly splitting with Nottingham Forest star Douglas Luiz during her time celebrating Oktoberfest in Munich last weekend. The FC Como Women player - often dubbed the 'world's sexiest footballer' - first began dating Luiz in 2021 during their time playing for the respective women's and men's teams at Aston Villa. After breaking up in 2022, they rekindled their romance at the start of 2024, with both players signing a deal to move to Juventus ahead of the 2024-25 season. However, speculation that the couple had broken up was rife at the end of the last campaign, with the Italian press suggesting that they had been separated for some time. While Luiz has since returned to the Premier League, Lehmann booked a move to Como on the heels of wholesale investment in the women's team after they were purchased by the Mercury13 group - which counts Juan Mata and Giorgio Chiellini among its investors. Throughout her time with the Switzerland team at this summer's European Championship and since her move to Como, Lehmann has revealed little about her relationship status publicly. Alisha Lehmann appeared to declare her single status during a trip to Munich's Oktoberfest Lehmann had been dating Nottingham Forest star Douglas Luiz on and off since 2021 But during a girls weekend celebrating the autumn festival across the border in Bavaria, Lehmann was happy to share a little detail in an unusual way. Sporting the traditional Bavarian dirndl, Lehmann tied the bow of her outfit on her left side, which traditionally is done to show that the wearer is single. A bow tied at the waist on the right side of the body shows that the wearer is taken and not interested in romantic attention, while tying the bow in the middle is reserved for those keen not to share details about their private lives. Lehmann gleefully posed for pictures with her friends as she celebrated the traditional event, downing a stein of beer and enjoying platters of Bavarian delicacies. The 26-year-old took part in the festivities with her Como team-mates, including American star Alex Kerr, in another show that the player is settling well at her new club. Lehmann left Juventus after a challenging season in Turin which saw her only play 90 minutes once over the duration of the campaign. But Lehmann appeared a renewed force upon signing for her new side. 'It's an independent club, fully focused on women's football - and that really matters to me, ' Lehmann said upon signing for the outfit. Lehmann enjoyed the festivities alongside some of her Como team-mates including Alex Kerr During her relationship Lehmann would support Luiz as he featured for his native Brazil But the pair were rumored to have split earlier this year - with both players taking moves away from shared club Juventus The 26-year-old is focused now on restarting her career at the independently owned FC Como 'From the start, I could see this wasn't just another team; it's a project with real purpose and vision. (So) signing with FC Como Women just felt right. 'It sends the message that being strong, ambitious and expressive can all go hand in hand; that's important for the future of the sport. 'We're in a moment where women's football can define itself on its own terms, and independent clubs like Como Women have the opportunity in leading the movement. '(It) isn't just about winning matches. It's about building something that lasts. This is the first time I've joined an independent club. That was a big part of my decision. It shows there is a different way of doing things. '
