The theme of this week's Fantasy Challenge is "Big Spender". In this Gameweek, all players priced at £9. 0m or more will score DOUBLE points. There is a £100m budget for your 11-a-side team. When deciding which players to invest in, it is important to look at how they rank in the key stats, as well as the fixtures. Here, FPL expert Sam Bonfield reveals her approach for Gameweek 15. Pick your Fantasy Challenge team NOW! There are eight players in the game who are priced over £9. 0m. Two forwards, in Erling Haaland (£15. 0m) and Ollie Watkins (£9. 0m), and six midfielders, Mohamed Salah (£13. 3m), Cole Palmer (£11. 0m), Bukayo Saka (£10. 5m), Son Heung-min (£9. 8m), Kevin De Bruyne (£9. 4m) and Phil Foden (£9. 1m). The £100m budget actually goes quite a long way this week, as there are a number of cheaper assets with good fixtures who can help balance the squad. The key in this Challenge feels like it will be working out which stars costing £9. 0m and over are worth owning. It is actually possible to build a team with all eight players priced at £9. 0m and more in, however I think owning seven of them is probably the best approach. Salah is the fastest player to have ever reached 150 points in FPL and his 10 double-digit hauls in just 14 matches highlight his consistency this season. The midfielder is in incredible form, and has registered five goals and an assist across his last six meetings with Everton in the Premier League. Salah feels like the most essential of all of the picks for Gameweek 15 and will be my captain. Alongside Salah in midfield, Saka and Palmer also both feel important to own. Saka has had 41 attempts on goal this season and has also taken 42 corners. Meanwhile, his 38 chances created are more than any other midfielder in the game. Of these, 17 have been classified as big chances, which are situations where the player is expected to score, with this again the most among midfielders. Palmer is second only to Saka for chances created among midfielders, with 36, and only Saka beats his 11 big chances created. All three of these players also benefit from having penalty duties. Currently, I have Bruno Fernandes (£8. 5m) as my final midfielder. Although he will not have his points doubled, he does have a nice home fixture against Nottingham Forest, and like the others, has a broad route to points given his set-piece responsibilities. However, if De Bruyne is named in the Man City starting XI, I will swap Fernandes for the Belgian. I am worried about De Bruyne's minutes given that he stated he wasn't fully fit and was struggling with back pain when interviewed after the midweek win over Forest. I want to try and exploit the double points if he starts. In my FPL team I sold Haaland as part of my Gameweek 11 Wildcard. However, in FPL Challenge, owning him mades sense. While Haaland only has three attacking returns across his last nine matches in the Premier League, he has good potential against a Crystal Palace team who have not been as solid defensively this season. Haaland started the season incredibly well, however his underlying stats have actually improved from Gameweek 6 onwards, when his attacking returns started to dry up. His Expected Goals (x G) total across Gameweeks 1-5 was 5. 81, in comparison to 6. 46 from Gameweek 6 onwards. Likewise, his Expected Assists (x A) have risen from 0. 19 to 0. 57 over the same periods, while his Expected Goal Involvement (x GI) is up from 6. 00 to 7. 03. He has also had more touches in the final third and penalty area since Gameweek 6. Alongside him, Watkins feels sensible to own. The forward registered a goal and an assist in Gameweek 14 and faces a Southampton team who will once again be weakened by suspensions. Watkins was another serious consideration for the captaincy armband and were it not for Salah's form, I would have been tempted. I have gone with AFC Bournemouth's Evanilson (£6. 1m) as my third forward. There is £2. 9m in the bank with this team, mostly to allow for De Bruyne if he starts. This could also be used to go for more expensive forwards, such as Nicolas Jackson (£8. 2m) or Alexander Isak (£8. 4m), but I like the Bournemouth fixture, away to Ipswich Town, more, which is why I have opted for the Cherries' Brazilian. The only over £9. 0m player that I have ruled out is Foden. Foden missed Gameweek 14 through illness and I fear the Gameweek 15 match at Palace on Saturday may come too quickly. I was worried that choosing so many of the "big spender" players would mean compromises in defence. However, this isn't the case. If Gabriel (£6. 2m) is available for Arsenal, there is the budget to own him over Timber. However, Timber scored his first goal in Gameweek 14 and has excellent attacking underlying numbers, so I will be tempted to stick with him even if Gabriel is back. I have also picked the most expensive defender in the game. Even though Trent Alexander-Arnold (£6. 9m) doesn't have his points doubled, he is still worth the hefty outlay. Despite not starting in Gameweek 14, Alexander-Arnold still registered six points, thanks to his two assists. Alexander-Arnold has created 25 chances this season, second among defenders this season to only Leif Davis (£4. 5m). As clean sheets have been at a premium outside of Arsenal and Liverpool, I have opted for Josko Gvardiol (£6. 2m) due to his attacking threat. Gvardiol has produced 20 attempts on goal this season, second only to Spurs' Pedro Porro (£5. 6m) among defenders. He has also created 18 chances for his team-mates in 2024/25. The final big decision was in goal. I have opted for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez (£5. 0m), however I did seriously considering doubling up on Arsenal with David Raya (£5. 5m). But the fact that Southampton have scored the fewest goals in the league this season just tipped the balance in Martinez's favour, especially as I already have an Arsenal defender in my line-up.
