15/11/2024 - 15: 00 GMT San Saha Stephen Pond/Getty Images Ipswich Town are testing the water ahead of a possible raid to add a new goalkeeper to the ranks in the January transfer window. Kieran Mc Kenna successfully steered the Tractor Boys back to the Premier League and avoiding relegation this season is his top priority. Ipswich made multiple signings in the summer transfer window and Arijanet Muric was brought in from Burnley to be their first-choice custodian between the sticks. The Kosovo international, though, has conceded 20 times in ten league games and Mc Kenna is keen on bringing in another quality goalkeeper. According to Turkish outlet Aksam (via A Spor), the Tractor Boys want Fenerbahce star Dominik Livakovic in January. The Croatia international was linked with Ipswich in the summer and it is suggested the club are currently testing the water over a possible swoop. Mc Kenna’s side, however, will not have a clear path to Livakovic as Serie A giants Napoli are after him and Saudi Arabian clubs are also keeping close tabs on him. Livakovic’s current contract at Fenerbahce is until the summer of 2028 and Ipswich will need to dig deep in their pockets to secure a player of Livakovic’s quality amid interest from other clubs.
