Paul O'Neill beat the offside trap before letting loose with a right-footed effort which was routinely stopped by Chris Johns between the sticks. On the half hour mark, Euan East was forced off with a knock meaning new signing Leahy was called into action for his Linfield debut a little earlier than he might have expected.
