Jonathan David joined Juventus on a five-year deal from Lille earlier this summer Jonathan David scored on his debut as Juventus beat Parma in their Serie A opener. The Canada striker, who signed from Lille in July, prodded home Kenan Yildiz's cross with just under an hour played. Juventus were reduced to 10 men in the 83rd minute when full-back Andrea Cambiaso was shown a straight red card for lashing out at Parma's Mathias Lovik with his arm. But just a minute later, substitute Dusan Vlahovic settled the outcome with the second goal. The Serbian started and finished a swift counter-attack, with Yildiz providing his second assist. Yildiz could have got on the scoresheet himself, but his strike from the edge of the box was saved by Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki who got down low to push it wide. The Old Lady had struggled to break down a resolute Parma defence as Francisco Conceicao's header was tipped over the bar by Suzuki and his deflected strike crashed off the post. Elsewhere in Serie A, Como scored two second-half goals as they beat Lazio. Greece striker Anastasios Douvikas slotted home after latching on to a through-ball from Nico Paz to open the scoring. Paz added to his assist with a stunning 30-yard free-kick to seal the three points as Cesc Fabregas' side began their league campaign with a win.
