Manchester City duo Hemp and Greenwood have both recently returned to action, while Stanway rejoins the camp despite not featuring since December. The Bayern Munich midfielder missed the end of the Frauen-Bundesliga season through injury and is still building up match fitness. All three are among England’s most influential players, with a combined 232 caps, and were instrumental in the Lionesses’ historic Euro 2022 triumph – the nation's first major silverware since 1966. 'I’m very happy some players are back, ' Wiegman said. 'Georgia (Stanway) is in training. She starts full training and what we hope is that she comes into camp and continues building with us and, hopefully, towards the Euros. 'It's important that she's healthy, that she can handle loads, training loads, and recover from it, and then perform at that level. We have the time to see that. 'Of course, we don't play that many games and there's no (club) competition anymore, except for the players in the U. S. , but there's enough training and we need to figure out if she gets her performances right. ' Sarina Wiegman has named her penultimate England squad ahead of this summer's Euros Man City duo Lauren Hemp and Alex Greenwood return to the squad following injury Chelsea star Lauren James is among the absentees from the squad due to a hamstring injury One major absentee from the squad is star forward Lauren James, who has been out since suffering a hamstring injury during England’s 5–0 win over Belgium last month. The 23-year-old has since missed Chelsea’s title run-in. Asked about James’ recent fitness struggles, Wiegman said: 'She's working really hard to get fit. I think you say these things now (about her injury struggles), yes, that's a fact, too, but there's also the fact that she performed really well and she developed so quickly and so well and really showed up for Chelsea and for us. 'She's a special player who has moments in the game where she can be decisive. Let's see how far she gets and what she can bring us. I know she's absolutely working really hard to get there. ' Elsewhere, 19-year-old Arsenal forward Michelle Agyemang – currently on loan at Brighton – retains her place after scoring just 41 seconds into her debut against Belgium last month. 'She is a very high-potential talent, ' Wiegman said. 'She is very powerful and as we have seen, she can score goals. In duels I think she needs to calm down a little bit because she’s so powerful she makes some fouls and we’ve spoken about that already. 'Hopefully she can manage a bit when we play in the duels. You don’t want to almost destroy your opponent. It's little things like that and we need to see a little bit more from her. ' Agyemang is joined in the squad by Brighton teammates Nikita Parris and Fran Kirby, both of whom have also been recalled. Tottenham defender Ella Morris, 22, has received her first senior call-up after impressing in the WSL. However, there is no place for Manchester United’s Millie Turner, despite forming one of the league’s top centre-back partnerships this season with Maya Le Tissier. United’s defence ranked second only to Chelsea, but only Le Tissier has retained her place in the national squad. England will host Portugal on May 30 before travelling to Barcelona to face world champions Spain on June 3 in their final Nations League fixtures before the Euros. The Lionesses will begin their title defence on July 5 in Zurich against Group D rivals France. The Euros final is scheduled for July 27.
