Van Nistelrooy enjoyed a winning start as Leicester manager as he guided the Foxes to a 3-1 win at home to West Ham. Prior to that, van Nistelrooy enjoyed a spell as interim manager at Manchester United as he oversaw three wins and a draw. The Dutchman had previously worked as an assistant to Erik ten Hag after returning to Old Trafford, where he enjoyed an illustrious playing career. Van Nistelrooy is now looking to put his connections with his former club to good use. The 20-year-old midfielder is very highly rated by United and has made three senior appearances so far. Collyer featured against Manchester City in the Community Shield and was also involved against Barnsley in the Carabao Cup. Most notably, Collyer played the second half of United's defeat at home to Liverpool in the Premier League in September. The prospect has been sidelined with an injury but is now closing in on a return to action. It remains to be seen whether United, now managed by Ruben Amorim, will be prepared to let Collyer go out on loan in January.
