The defender was assisted off the pitch by two members of the Reds' medical team and appeared in serious discomfort while using his shirt as a makeshift sling. Konate was given treatment as the players walked off the pitch at the break and gingerly climbed to his feet before hobbling down the Anfield tunnel.   He did not remerge for the second half with Joe Gomez, who was spotted undergoing an intensive warm-up during the interval, taking his place.   The centre back's involvement was brought to a premature end after he slipped and landed awkwardly while looking to attack a Liverpool corner.    Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate was forced off at half-time against Brighton The centre back suffered an apparent arm injury after suffering an awkward fall at a corner Arne Slot is without several first-team regulars until after the next international break Ibrahima Konate in serious pain as he walks off.
