Scottish League 2 East Kilbride and Spartans have now gone five points clear at the top of the fourth tier. Newcomers East Kilbride are top on goal difference after their thrashing of Forfar, while a single goal gave Spartans victory over Annan. Edinburgh have reduced their 15-point penalty further at the bottom with a fine 2-1 win away to Dumbarton. Scottish League 1 It is goalless early on in the late kick-off in the third tier between Hamilton and Cove, which you can watch live. Queen of the South have overtaken Alloa at the top after beating Kelty while the Wasps were losing in Inverness, who would be leading if it was not for their five-point penalty. Hard lines on Livi. Hearts very jammy. As ever, Mc Innes' teams just a dreadful watch. Mike Not difficult to argue that Motherwell should be on eight points in the league rather than four. We may rue these dropped points by the end of the season. Martin I’m not buying this “dominant Motherwell" chat. Sure, they had lots of the ball, but in terms of clearcut chances, it was an even game. More than one way to play football! Amy Great to read the plaudits that Motherwell are getting for their style of play, but they have to find a way to turn these draws into victories. Especially with arguably tougher games ahead. Ian Scottish Championship Title favourites St Johnstone have dropped their first league points of the season but still find themselves three clear at the top despite their home draw with Morton. Raith Rovers remain second despite defeat away to Partick Thistle, who are now behind on goal difference. Arbroath are in third after their win in Danny Lennon's first game as Airdrieonians manager, while Ronan Hale's double rescued a point for managerless Ross County in Dunfermline. Great result today, but We need a right-back! But we’re showing some true grit and it’s so much better to see Hearts mixing it up again showing no fear when up against it. Neil Hearts are winning the league Waleed Great response from Hearts today, but we really do need a new goalie. Tom FT: Motherwell 2-2 Kilmarnock Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou suggests there was a foul on his goalkeeper for Kilmarnock's equaliser. "We had full control and anything can happen in football, " he tells BBC Scotland. "If the referee sees the touch, he gives the foul. It was very subtle, then you are 2-2 in a game you should win. "I don't think there's clear indication in the cameras. I've seen Calum [Ward] catch these balls a million times. He had control of the situation - I believe him when he says there was a touch. "We had the opportunity to close down the game before that. It was important to see that reaction and stability on the pitch. We had to really work hard to earn our chances today. "We've had the opportunity to get more points, but we have points in every game. There a slot of dominance and a lot of control. We are trying to be more productive and effective. " FT: Livingston 1-2 Heart of Midlothian Hearts head coach Derek Mc Innes tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we were absolutely fine in the game in the first half. "We set up to nullify Livingston's threat, but one shot on goal and they scored. It was too simplistic that goal against us. We didn't play with enough purpose or invention in the first half. "As soon as we went behind, we looked a bit ordinary and a bit spooked. "We started the second half like an absolute train and we never really let up. The game became stop-start. I got fed up hearing the referee's whistle. It seemed like every tackle was a foul. "We missed that brilliant chance with Braga against the post, but I felt like it was coming and Kyziridis came up with it. " FT: Motherwell 2-2 Kilmarnock Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell describes his return to Fir Park as "eventful". The former Well boss tells BBC Scotland: "We score a very good goal. It just comes down to game management at the end of the first half. "We know Motherwell have pace in their team. We can handle the last few seconds of the first half far better. We don't and it's always a body blow when you concede at that time. "Motherwell really took control and we lost another goal from a turnover. I have to praise their players to get back in the game and maybe win it. We'll absolutely take [the point]. " On Kilmarnock's transfer plans in the remaining of the window, Kettlewell adds: I don't envisage there being much at all. " Former Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell returned to Fir Park FT: Motherwell 2-2 Kilmarnock Motherwell attempted 675 passes against Kilmarnock, their highest total in a single match in the Premiership since the start of last season. Passes don't win you football games, though, obviously. George Stanger rescued a point for Kilmarnock There's two ways to get in touch. Scottish League 2 Scottish League 1 Scottish Championship FT: Livingston 1-2 Heart of Midlothian That victory takes unbeaten Hearts a point ahead of Celtic before the reigning champions visit city rivals Rangers tomorrow. Maybe Tony Bloom's dream of splitting the Old Firm at the end of the season is coming true sooner than even he imagined. Okay, it is a bit early in the season to be saying that, but you never know! A second second-half fightback in a row takes Hearts to the top of the Premiership. Last week, it rescued a point with Motherwell. This time, it delivers a third defeat in a row for hosts Livingston. Alexandros Kyziridis scored Hearts' late winner Livingston 1-2 Heart of Midlothian Livi go so close to a last-gasp equaliser. A corner find the head of Connor Mc Lennan, but the former Aberdeen forward heads wide. Late drama as the match ends with Calum Ward saving a close-range Kilmarnock header. And that's that at Fir Park. George Stanger's late leveller won Kilmarnock an unlikely point Alexandros Kyziridis The substitute looks to have won it! A ricochet takes the ball into the path of Alexandros Kyziridis and the Hearts winger fires low into the far corner. Livingston 1-1 Heart of Midlothian Hearts scorer Claudio Braga is replaced with Elton Kabangu for the final minutes at Almondvale as the visitors defend a Livingston free-kick. It's launched into the Hearts box, but Derek Mc Innes' side defend it well. Alexandros Kyziridis scored the winning goal for Hearts At a glance Lewis Smith gives Livi the lead in poor first half from Hearts Claudio Braga levels minutes into second half but misses huge chance for winner Kyziridis wins it at the death with first Hearts goal Watch Sportscene highlights of Livingston v Hearts 30/08/2025 Substitute Alexandros Kyziridis' dramatic injury-time winner secured Hearts three points against Livingston to nudge them top of the Scottish Premiership. Lewis Smith gave Livi the advantage after 26 minutes when he skipped past Harry Milne on the right before cutting inside and sending a low shot beyond Zander Clark at the Hearts goalkeeper's near post. Claudio Braga had gone closest when his low shot from the right zipped past the far post, but Hearts failed to create anything else for the remainder of the half and appeared to struggle under Livingston's pressure. But the forward drew the Edinburgh side level in the opening minutes of the second period. Half-time substitute Kyziridis won the corner for his side and then teed up Braga to head beyond Jerome Prior at his near post. It looked as though a switch had flicked for Hearts at the break and they applied serious pressure on the Livingston backline. There was a debut for record signing Ageu, who joined from Santa Clara earlier this week, and the midfielder looked sharp with a few chances, going close from just outside the Livi box as he leathered his strike wide. And the Brazilian almost set up Hearts' second. There was a tangle between the midfielder and Prior inside the Livi box and the ball fell sweetly for Braga with the goal gaping but the forward was denied by the upright. It was Kyziridis who was the hero for Hearts when, deep into injury time, he raced through on goal and sent his low strike beyond Prior to snatch all three points and open his account for the Edinburgh club. When the half-time whistle blew it was fair to say Livingston were good value for their 1-0 lead. Yet again, it was an underwhelming first 45 from Mc Innes' side who, apart from that early Braga chance, offered very little. Livingston looked strong going forward and put serious pressure on the Hearts backline for most of the first 45 minutes. Goalscorer Smith caused all sorts of problems and they created a fair few chances. But, like at Tynecastle against Motherwell last week, it was a different side who came out the traps for the second half. Mc Innes' decision to bring on Kyziridis at the break proved inspired when the winger set up Braga for the first, and got on the scoresheet himself, for the second. But just how sustainable is Hearts' reliance on their second-half form? The schedule is going to get busier and there will likely be games in which they simply cannot afford to leave it until the second half to get themselves into the game. Livingston manager David Martindale: "It's always difficult to lose late goals. We don't start the second half well. "I don't think there was much in the first half. I don't think we caused too much trouble offensively, I think we gave Hearts too much possession, maybe too much respect in the second half. " Hearts manager Derek Mc Innes: "We set up to nullify Livingston's threat but one shot on goal and they scored. It was too simplistic that goal against us. "We started the second half like an absolute train and we never really let up. The game became stop start, I got fed up hearing the referee's whistle it seemed like every tackle was a foul.
