While they found themselves out of the title race a long time ago, they are currently also out of the qualification spots for the Champions League, while they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup and Champions League early on. They are, however, in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and favourites to win that competition. The start of their squad rebuild was brought forward to the winter, with Pep Guardiola's side signing Omar Marmoush,  Abdukodir Khusanov, Nico Gonzalez and Vitor Reis in January. It will continue into the summer, with Kevin De Bruyne one of a few staple pieces of recent City successes who are set to depart. And, according to Fabrizio Romano, the former Treble winners are eyeing up a move for Spurs' Destiny Udogie to improve their left back options. Manchester City have reportedly added a Tottenham defender to their shortlist ahead of their squad rebuild in the summer Pep Guardiola's side have enjoyed a torrid season, currently sitting sixth in the Premier League Spurs' Destiny Udogie, though, could be the next one through the door at City Udogie, 22, joined Tottenham in 2022 before heading on loan to Udinese for a year, where he had also spent the previous campaign. He became a regular under Ange Postecoglou immediately, however, and was first-choice left back from the start of last season. This year, he has had competition from Djed Spence, but has still played 29 times and 59 times for the north London side in total. There could be just a few games left, though, if he is to join City this summer. It is adjudged that the deal is viewed as difficult because Tottenham see Udogie as a key player, but City are keen. The report suggests they are also monitoring Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus. Currently, City are short on left back options, with Jsoko Gvardiol usually first pick, though he has been playing at centre back as of late. Nico O'Reilly, 20, has been the preferred option in that time, but he is short on first-team game time, while the likes of Nathan Ake and Rico Lewis can also fill in there.
