Defensive midfielder Kone, 18, is said to have attracted interest from a host of clubs this summer and Liverpool were also tipped to swoop. The youngster will initially join United's Under 21s, The Athletic say, to allow him to adjust to life in England. However, he is also viewed as high potential with Erik ten Hag hopeful Kone can be a long-term option in the No 6 position. It is thought, according to The Athletic, that the Red Devils are aware Kone will face a significant cultural shock after touching down in England and they will integrate him steadily.
