There has been much focus on Amorim following United's elimination from the Carabao Cup by Grimsby of League Two. After that game Amorim publicly criticised his United players and he has now revealed that he wouldn't shy away from doing so again. Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Premier League game at home to Burnley, Amorim said: 'Guys, to be really honest with you guys, every time that we have or have in the future one defeat like that, I'm going to be like that. I'm going to say that sometimes I hate my players, sometimes I love my players, sometimes I want to defend my players. I think this is my way of doing things and I'm going to be like that.   'And I felt that in that moment I was so frustrated and [annoyed]. And I know, again, that you have a lot of experienced people talking about the way I should perform with the media, to be more constant, to be more calm. I'm not going to be like that. He said: 'Sometimes I want to quit. Sometimes I want to be here for 20 years. 'I need to improve on that - it's going to be hard - but now I am focused on the next game'. Amorim has also sent a message to Kobbie Mainoo, saying that the midfielder needs to fight for his place. The 20-year-old, who was an unused substitute for United's first two games of the Premier League season, told the club that he wants to leave on loan before the closure of the transfer window. However, Amorim insisted that Mainoo will be staying at United. He said: 'Until it is official, I cannot say much. I want Kobbie [Mainoo] to stay. He needs to fight for his place. We need Kobbie. 'I understand that the players who aren't playing in this moment are disappointed. You have to fight during the week. ' Amorim insisted that Kobbie Mainoo, who asked for a loan move, will be staying at United After the game against Grimsby, Amorim said:  'I just have to say sorry to our fans. The way we started the game, we were not even here. When everything is so important in our club, everything that happened, it's a problem in our club, we should do so much better. 'In the penalties, the feeling is the same. I think football was really fair today – the best team won. 'It should be my job to understand what happened. Again, I'm really sorry for our fans.   'The support that they have given me, always with all of the defeats they always help the team. Today I have nothing to say. I am really sorry. It's too much sometimes. '
