The 27-year-old joined Alejandro Garnacho in being omitted from selection, amid reports that the Red Devils are open to cashing in on their academy graduate. Rashford took to social media to congratulate his team-mates on their 2-1 victory over Man City at the Etihad Stadium. 'Yesssssssss! Love it lads', he wrote on Instagram, followed by two red heart emojis, under a photo of Amad Diallo celebrating his 90th-minute winner. United netted two goals in as many minutes to take the spoils from the derby, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a penalty in the 88th minute. The win moves United up to 12th in the table, five points off City in fifth, as they edge closer to competing for the Champions League spots.
