The forward, signed on loan from Manchester United in January after a falling out with Ruben Amorim, has enjoyed an eye-catching start to life in the Midlands. Villa's decision to take Rashford for the rest of the season raised eyebrows, as he had not played for United since December 12. But he has looked like a man reborn in his five appearances since joining Villa with three assists to his name and has become a hero for the Holte End. Emery spoke last week about his desire to improve Rashford as a player. The Villa boss said: 'We want to support him. Help him. Try to help him to feel comfortable here. Try to help him get confidence with us, try to be demanding with him. He is in this process. ' And, according to The Sun, Rashford is keen to continue his tutelage under Emery and secure a permanent move to Villa Park. Rashford, had been an England regular from the moment he scored on three minutes into his debut in the 2016 friendly win over Australia but was left out of Gareth Southgate's Euro 2024 squad. With the national team now under Thomas Tuchel, Rashford is determined to win his place back and seems to be going the right way about it both on matchdays and in training. He has reportedly impressed his team-mates and his new manager with his strong commitment on the training ground — one of the areas of his game which was questioned by Amorim at Old Trafford. The Portuguese manager appears to have closed the door for Rashford at Old Trafford and let loose with a string of disparaging remarks at the forward before his loan move, including claiming he would rather pick his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach. Villa currently pay 70 per cent of Rashford's £325, 000-a-week wages, with that figure potentially rising to 90 per cent, depending on performance-related bonuses.
