Oleksandr Zinchenko won four Premier League titles with Manchester City Ajax are in talks over a loan move for Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukraine international is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest in a deal that expires at the end of the season, but BBC Sport revealed on Wednesday that the City Ground club were exploring terminating the agreement early. However, Zinchenko's proposed return to the Gunners has been complicated by the fact the loan does not include a mechanism that allows the deal to be ended early. Furthermore, Arsenal view their squad as full so are unwilling to approve Forest's request to end the agreement now. The onus has been on Forest to find Zinchenko, 29, another club if they were to offload the ex-Manchester City defender. If all parties agree to a switch to Ajax, Zinchenko will officially return to Arsenal before heading straight out to Amsterdam. Zinchenko joined Forest on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day last summer but he has struggled to make an impact, only starting four Premier League games. He will leave Arsenal at the end of the season when his contract expires. Latest Arsenal news, analysis and fan views Ask about Arsenal - what do you want to know?
