Eberechi Eze's goal against former club Crystal Palace was enough to secure all three points for Mikel Arteta's men at the Emirates, who are now four points clear at the top of the table. Daily Mail Sport's James Sharpe scored two points out of a possible seven Chelsea v Sunderland – HOME - 0pts Manchester United v Brighton – HOME - 1pt Brentford v Liverpool – AWAY - 0 pts Bournemouth v Nottingham Forest – DRAW - 0 pts Arsenal v Palace – HOME - 1 pt Aston Villa v Man City – AWAY - 0 pts Everton v Tottenham – DRAW - 0 pts This victory was made even more sweet for the north Londoners following the other results of the weekend, as title rivals Liverpool sunk to a 3-2 defeat at Brentford and Aston Villa beat Manchester City 1-0. Bournemouth went second after beating Nottingham Forest 2-0. Sean Dyche's new side are joined in the relegation zone by two other defeat parties over the weekend in West Ham and Wolves - who lost to Leeds and Burnley respectively. Manchester United made it three wins in a row by beating Brighton 4-2, in a thrilling match which saw a nervy finish before Bryan Mbeumo's late goal and his second of the game helped ease the pressure further on Ruben Amorim. Sunderland's spectacular return to the top-flight continued with a shock 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Alejandro Garnacho scored his first goal in blue in the fourth minute before Wilson Isidor's equaliser a quarter-of-an-hour later. But Regis Le Bris' side showed their mettle and managed to snatch a 91st minute winner through Chemsdine Talbi. And Tottenham rounded off the weekend with a comprehensive 3-0 victory at Everton - the first team to do so at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. In the Daily Mail Sport league, Craig Hope produced the highest score with four out of a possible seven points. James Sharpe meanwhile scored two points, enough to retain his position at the top of the leaderboard. Nathan Salt sits in second, his three points from the weekend closing the gap to four.
