Anyway, we're back underway across the grounds this afternoon. Let's hope we see some more great action. Manchester United are currently second in the league! You read that right. That’s now eight goals from corners in the Premier League this season, the most ever by any team in their first ten games of a campaign. It has become one of their most reliable weapons under Mikel Arteta; you wouldn’t bet against a few more before full time. Half-time across the Premier League and it’s been a strong first 45 for the big guns. Arsenal are cruising at Turf Moor, Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice on target to put them 2-0 up against Burnley. Manchester United lead Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to Casemiro’s header, while Jean-Philippe Mateta’s powerful finish has Crystal Palace ahead against Brentford. Danny Welbeck’s sixth goal in five games has Brighton in front at home to Leeds, and Ryan Sessegnon’s strike gives Fulham a 1-0 lead over ten-man Wolves. Disaster for Wolves as Emmanuel Agbadou is shown a straight red card for a late challenge. It looked a harsh call, but the visitors now face an uphill battle at Craven Cottage with more than an hour still to play. VAR are having a look but I don't think this one will be overturned. WHAT A HEADER! Give them the title now! Manchester United take the lead at the City Ground. From a pretty controversial corner, Casemiro rose above his marker and powered a superb header down inside the left post. Ruthless finish from the Brazilian to make it 1-0 to United. Crystal Palace are in front at Selhurst Park. Jefferson Lerma rose highest to meet the free kick and nodded it into the danger area, where Jean-Philippe Mateta met it with a thumping header from close range. Brilliant finish from the Frenchman, who gives Oliver Glasner’s side a deserved 1-0 lead. Big blow for Sean Dyche as Douglas Luiz hobbles off after just 14 minutes, with Ryan Yates coming on to replace him. Manchester United are starting to settle, Luke Shaw trying to slip Benjamin Sesko through with a neat ball, but Forest’s back line reacted well to clear the danger. Crystal Palace are seeing plenty of the ball at Selhurst Park, with Ismaila Sarr involved in everything. Yeremy Pino tried to pick him out with a clever lofted pass, but Brentford’s defence stood firm. Jefferson Lerma then went long, only to overhit it. The hosts are asking questions but no clear chances yet. Set Piece FC strikes again! Viktor Gyokeres breaks the deadlock at Turf Moor, and he couldn't miss after some fine work by Gabriel. That makes it 12 of Arsenal’s 17 goals this season coming from set pieces. Danny Welbeck keeps his red-hot form going. The striker latches onto a precise pass in the box and lashes it into the middle of the net. Six goals in five for the Seagulls’ main man. Fulham strike first and it’s Ryan Sessegnon with the finish. A clever pass from Raul Jimenez picks him out inside the box and Sessegnon slots home coolly. 1-0 to the hosts. More misery for Wolves! Both sides straight into it in the early stages. Nottingham moving the ball crisply, Douglas Luiz pulling strings in midfield, while United look sharp on the break. Bryan Mbeumo’s strike was blocked en route to goal, earning the visitors an early corner. Fast tempo, plenty of intent from both. And we are underway at the City Ground and around the grounds this 3pm. The Last Post was wonderfully observed ahead of Remembrance Sunday later this month. Here's hoping for lots and lots of goals. The wait is over. The players emerge to a wall of noise across the grounds, poppies on shirts and focus etched on faces. Arsenal’s title chasers stride out at Turf Moor, while Brentford, Fulham and Forest all know how big this afternoon could be. Kick-off is just moments away. Sewan Dyche, Forest boss, pre-match: Marco Silva, Fulham boss, pre-match: Here's Wolves boss Vítor Pereira looking very relaxed with a coffee in hand before kick-off, but the stakes could hardly be higher. His side are winless in nine and sit bottom of the Premier League, with just six points from a possible 27. Pereira insists the performances have been better than results suggest, yet defeat today would only deepen fears that his first season in charge is unravelling fast. Just one change for Palace as Jefferson Lerma replaces the ill Adam Wharton in midfield. Oliver Glasner confirmed yesterday that Wharton misses out through illness. Crystal Palace have quietly turned Selhurst Park into one of the toughest away days in the league. Oliver Glasner’s side are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League home matches, a run stretching back to February. With the crowd right behind them again this afternoon, Brentford face a serious test of their momentum. Brentford have been flying out of the traps this season, scoring first in seven of their nine Premier League games. Keith Andrews clearly has his side switched on from the off, and Palace will need to be alert early if they’re to avoid being stung at Selhurst Park. The warm-ups are underway around the grounds, with players going through their final routines before the 3pm whistle. Not long left to go now, boots laced, shirts on, and atmospheres building nicely. The numbers have spoken, with Opta predicting Arsenal will finally lift the Premier League trophy. Their model has Mikel Arteta’s side finishing on 80 points, 11 clear of Manchester City and Liverpool. Chelsea and Aston Villa round out the top four, while Forest, West Ham and Wolves are tipped for the drop. If the prediction proves true, it would underline the league’s growing parity and mean all three promoted sides stay up. For the first time as Manchester United boss, Ruben Amorim names an unchanged Premier League line-up. After three straight wins, the Portuguese coach clearly sees no reason to tinker. The mood looks bright in the Manchester United camp as they arrive at the City Ground. Ruben Amorim was all smiles stepping off the bus, with his players looking just as relaxed ahead of kick-off. Three wins in a row have clearly lifted spirits, and with those sharp blue training tops catching the eye, United look every inch a side enjoying their football again. Fulham need a response. Four defeats in a row have dragged them down to 17th, and even Wolves, bottom and winless, will fancy their chances today. The numbers are bleak: just five goals in nine games, none in their last two at home. Marco Silva’s side have also failed to beat Wolves in their last five Craven Cottage meetings. It is not quite crisis mode yet, but the pressure is starting to mount. As we've just heard from our very own Tom Collomosse at Craven Cottage, there is no Andre or Gomes in the starting XI for Wolves. Nottingham Forest sit 18th, winless in their last five and already staring at another relegation battle. But if there’s one man who knows how to escape the drop, it’s Sean Dyche. The former Burnley boss has never seen a full Premier League season end in relegation while in charge, and his home debut this afternoon feels huge. Forest fans will hope the Dyche bounce finally arrives, with Manchester United in town and the table tightening fast. Six goals in nine matches, a 54 per cent conversion rate for big chances, and second only to Haaland in the scoring charts, Igor Thiago has been a revelation. The Brazilian’s mix of power and precision makes him Brentford’s focal point, thriving on Jordan Henderson’s quick deliveries and Michael Kayode’s long throws. He has scored with both feet and his head this season. Brentford’s rise starts with Thiago. Keith Andrews has Brentford flying with big wins over Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool already under his belt. His side rank second in the league for high-intensity pressures and produce the highest proportion of forward passes at 37. 8 per cent. They’ve also scored four times from just ten fast breaks, proving that the direct approach works. Expect more of the same at Selhurst Park today, where Palace will need to stay switched on early against one of the division’s quickest starters. Early hiccup in Nottingham. Ground staff were called into action to fix a damaged goal net ahead of kick-off at the City Ground, with ladders, tape and cable ties all making an appearance in a frantic few minutes of DIY. The league leaders are in the house. Declan Rice was among the first off the bus as Arsenal arrived at Turf Moor, looking sharp ahead of another key test in their title charge. Viktor Gyokeres and Leandro Trossard followed, both in good spirits in the Lancashire sunshine. Side note, I need to get me one of those hoodies! Laurent replaces Larsen for Parker's side. The home side have arrived at Turf Moor ahead of their clash with Arsenal. Scott Parker cut a sharp figure in a navy jacket as he surveyed the pitch, joined by Kyle Walker and the rest of the Clarets squad. Burnley know they face their biggest test of the season against the league leaders, but there’s a quiet confidence about Parker’s men, who have lost just once at home this term. Six straight clean sheets, 540 minutes without conceding, and Arsenal’s back line is on a historic run. Mikel Arteta’s side haven’t let in a goal since September, the longest top-flight shutout streak since Chelsea in 2009. They’ve faced 27 shots on target across that time and saved every one. At the other end, only Manchester City (17) have scored more than Arsenal’s 16. Burnley will need something special at Turf Moor to end the Gunners’ incredible defensive streak. If it ain't broke. .. Amorim sticks with the same side that earned that thrilling 4-2 win over Brghton last time out. With no midweek football, he can be sure his troops are fit and firing to take on today's challenge. Daniel Farke, Leeds boss, pre-match presser: Mikel Arteta up to his old tricks again. The Frenchman is not just fit enough to make the squad but he starts, partnering Gabriel in the heart of that impenetrable Gunners defence. Elsewhere, Trossard comes in for Martinelli, while Eze continues in the No 10 position with Odegaard out. Ruben Amorim, United boss, pre-match presser: Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner didn’t hold back when asked about the Premier League’s December schedule. The Austrian called it ‘irresponsible’ and said he was ‘really upset’ to learn his side could be forced to play three times in five days. Glasner urged the FA, UEFA and Premier League to ‘talk together’ and show some concern for player welfare. ‘It would be nice if they did their job, ’ he added. Palace host Brentford today with injuries already stretching their squad. NBA superstar and Arsenal fan Giannis Antetokounmpo paid tribute to Viktor Gyokeres this week, copying the striker’s trademark ‘mask’ celebration after scoring for the Milwaukee Bucks against the New York Knicks. The clip has gone viral among Gunners fans, with supporters loving the crossover between the Premier League leaders and one of basketball’s biggest names. Gyokeres himself has yet to respond, but Arsenal fans have already dubbed it ‘The North London link-up’. Scott Parker, Burnley boss, pre-match presser: Manchester United’s revival could have one very hairy side story. Viral fan Frank Ilett, known as The United Strand, vowed not to cut his hair until his club win five in a row. He’s already starred in a new Paddy Power advert about the wait, and with three wins on the board, a Forest result would bring him within one of that long-overdue trim. CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE: There was talk of tension this week after Sean Dyche’s old comments about Ruben Amorim resurfaced, but the pair have played it cool. Dyche brushed off suggestions of a feud, saying ‘clickbait kills anything’ and insisting he has ‘maximum respect for all managers’. Amorim laughed the whole thing off, joking that ‘maybe if we played 4-4-2 we’d win more games’. Both men need points for very different reasons, but it looks like the only fireworks today will be on the pitch. Bryan Mbeumo has been electric since swapping Brentford for Old Trafford. Three goals and an assist in his last three Premier League games tell the story, but the numbers run deeper. He’s fifth-fastest in the league, leads for off-the-ball runs and has received more progressive passes than anyone else this season. Ruben Amorim’s tweak to a 3-4-2-1 has freed him to make those darting runs inside. United’s form has lifted with him, and Forest’s back line will need to track every burst from the Cameroonian today. It has taken a year, but Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United finally look like a proper team. Three straight Premier League wins have lifted them to sixth and ended talk of another crisis. Amorim says he ‘struggled a lot’ last season and sometimes thought ‘maybe it’s not meant to be’. Now he insists United are ‘in a better place’ ahead of a tricky trip to Nottingham Forest. Brighton have managed just one clean sheet in their last 21 Premier League games, but Fabian Hurzeler insists his side are ‘100 per cent still in this season’. Kaoru Mitoma is back in training, though may not feature yet. Leeds boss Daniel Farke welcomes back Willy Gnonto after calf and hernia issues, calling his team ‘on a good path’ despite missed chances. Both sides press high and attack quickly, so expect an open, high-energy clash at the Amex. By Tum Balogun Two sides who love a set-piece square off at Selhurst Park. Palace haven’t won in three league games but remain unbeaten at home this season, while Brentford arrive in strong form after four wins from five in all competitions. Keith Andrews says Igor Thiago ‘is going absolutely nowhere’ amid transfer links, calling him ‘selfless’ and key to their rise. Palace will be without Eddie Nketiah and Adam Wharton again, but Chris Richards returns. Expect a physical battle between two teams ranked first and second for long throws this season. Clubs around the country are showing their support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal this weekend. Players and officials will wear shirts embroidered with the poppy, with match-worn kits later auctioned to raise funds for the Armed Forces community. The Premier League’s partnership with the RBL has raised more than £5million since 2012, including £483, 000 last season. This year’s campaign focuses on helping veterans rebuild their lives, with tributes already visible around the grounds this afternoon. By Tum Balogun Fulham fans are fuming after seats for Saturday’s clash vs Wolves were listed at £105 in the new Riverside Stand. Midfielder Sander Berge’s club video urging fans to buy tickets has backfired, with supporters branding prices ‘stupid’ and ‘absurd’. The Riverside redevelopment has been billed as a £100million ‘365-day venue’, but fans say the club is pricing out loyal supporters. Fulham have yet to comment, and the backlash adds pressure before a crucial relegation battle against bottom-placed Wolves. CLICK BELOW TO READ MORE: By Tum Balogun Fulham have lost four on the bounce and sit three points above the drop. Wolves are bottom and still without a win this season. Wolves have gone ten league matches without victory and have conceded in every game. Fulham have failed to beat a side starting the day in the relegation zone in their last five home matches. By Tum Balogun Sean Dyche’s first home league game as Forest manager comes against a resurgent Manchester United chasing a fourth straight Premier League win. Forest have beaten United in their last three league meetings but are winless in six domestically. United have not won four in a row since February 2024 but Ruben Amorim’s men look sharper and more confident with every game. By Tum Balogun League leaders Arsenal head to Turf Moor chasing a seventh straight win, but Burnley have quietly turned their home ground into a tough place to visit. Scott Parker’s side have lost just once at home this season and come into this on the back of consecutive wins, while Arsenal have not conceded in six games across all competitions. Even without Martinelli and Saliba, Mikel Arteta’s team look composed, organised and ruthless. Burnley will fight, but this feels like another chance for Arsenal to prove they can grind out title-winning results. By Tum Balogun Mikel Arteta, Arsenal boss, pre-match presser: By Tum Balogun Top of the table, six wins on the bounce, and they have not conceded a goal in October. Mikel Arteta’s side are looking every inch like champions in waiting, though we have said that before. Arsenal have kept six straight clean sheets across three competitions, and with Burnley next up, few would bet against them stretching that run. Even without Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba, who are both expected to miss out, the Gunners’ defence has been watertight. They have scored just 16 goals in nine league games, hardly explosive, but when no one can score against you it does not matter much. So here is the question: is this finally the season Arsenal hold their nerve and finish the job? By Tum Balogun It’s a big Saturday in the Premier League with five matches kicking off at 3pm, and we’ll have every twist and turn covered right here. Arsenal look to stay top and stretch their unbeaten run at Burnley, Manchester United head to Nottingham Forest chasing a fourth straight win, and there’s plenty at stake elsewhere with Crystal Palace, Fulham and Brighton all in action. The title race might already be over, with Arsenal four points clear of Bournemouth, and the pressure’s already rising at the bottom where Wolves, West Ham and Forest are all desperate for points. We’ll have all the build-up, team news, quotes and colour before kick-off, so stick with us as we count down to another busy Premier League afternoon. 1 - 0 Arsenal. Queue all the cry baby comments
