He was a level above his team-mates and opposition alike, as he manipulated the ball at will to stun those who had the fortune of playing on the same pitch as him.   An intricate array of neat touches, nutmegs and first-time finishes were on display as he stood head and shoulders above his counterparts.   The player in question is James Mc Atee, who has impressed at Premier League champions Manchester City after coming through their academy.   Reacting to footage of Mc Atee's play in the comments after it was posted on Tik Tok, users were stunned by how good he looked outside of a professional environment.   One user said: 'The levels are insane'. Tight areas, touch, ball control/manipulation, composure. Joy to watch'.   A further comment read: 'Levels above… the composure in tight situations'.   Mc Atee,  who has one year left on contract this summer, has made no secret of his desire to nail down a regular place in City's first team but competition in the attacking midfield positions is fierce.   City could well lose Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne this summer but Mc Atee is attracted by the prospect of regular first-team football.   Mc Atee is Bayer Leverkusen's No 1 target this summer should they agree to sell Florian Wirtz.   Mc Atee, who has one year left on contract this summer, has made no secret of his desire to nail down a regular place in Manchester City's first team Mail Sport revealed in December that the German champions were pursuing the 22-year old Mc Atee and they made a formal approach in January only to be rebuffed by City. However, with Pep Guardiola's side among those pursuing Leverkusen talisman Florian Wirtz this summer, the Germans are actively seeking a playmaker who could fill the void and they are prepared to push for Mc Atee in any negotiations with City.   City are among the front runners for Wirtz who at 21 is slightly younger than Mc Atee and has already established himself in the German national side. The reigning Premier League champions see Wirtz as a player who could fit seamlessly into their style and Leverkusen will consider asking for Mc Atee as part of any talks.
