Tottenham v West Ham (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Tottenham Hotspur It has been a busy week at Tottenham Hotspur with regard to incomings - both on the playing and non-playing staff front. On the field, Spurs completed their first signing of the January window - bringing in England midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £35m on a five-year deal. But there has been movement off the field, too. On Thursday, Carlos Raphael Moersen was appointed as Director of Football Operations. Details of his arrival come a day after it was confirmed sporting director Fabio Paratici will leave in February to join Fiorentina, although Spurs have said Moersen will fill a newly created role. And, in the last hour, it was confirmed that former Netherlands defender John Heitinga has joined the team as an assistant coach. Heitinga started the season in charge of Dutch giants Ajax but was sacked in November following a poor start to the campaign. Tottenham v West Ham (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Tottenham Hotspur A big criticism of Tottenham Hotspur under Thomas Frank, more than anything else, has been their dismal home record. Since Frank took the reins in the summer, Spurs have won just two games at home in the Premier League. Two wins from 10 and nine points out of 30 available just simply won't cut it for a club and fanbase that have European aspirations. Funnily enough, in all competitions the record does improve slightly. Spurs have got a 100% record on home soil in the Champions League and also beat Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup third round, however, they were knocked out in round three of the FA Cup by Aston Villa most recently. Premier League home record: All competitions home record: Tottenham v West Ham (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Chris Adams BBC Sport journalist As the halfway point of the transfer window approaches, Tottenham's troubles in attack have come under the microscope. Just one win in six Premier League games sees the north London side 14th in the table, with pressure mounting on head coach Thomas Frank. Frank's cautious approach has come in for criticism and while the arrival of England international Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid will bring proven top-flight pedigree in midfield, the jury is out on whether his attributes are likely to inspire a charge up the table. This season, Gallagher has scored more goals, taken more shots and completed more passes per 90 minutes than Frank's current midfield options Rodrigo Bentancur, Joao Palhinha, Lucas Bergvall, Xavi Simons, Pape Matar Sarr or Archie Gray. The ex-Chelsea man's passing accuracy is the best too, but barely one-fifth of his passes are played forward – the lowest percentage among those mentioned. He also ranks below all of those, bar Gray, for carrying the ball over distance and is yet to register an assist this campaign. With a middling record in terms of through balls and chances created, Spurs fans might rightly ask if the 25-year-old, who has cost £35m, offers enough of a difference from the likes of Sarr or the on-loan Palhinha. But with a point to prove before Thomas Tuchel names his England World Cup squad, a fired-up Gallagher could still prove a useful asset for the under-fire Frank. Tottenham v West Ham (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) On Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the signing of England midfielder Conor Gallagher from Spanish side Atletico Madrid for £35m. Spurs beat Aston Villa to the 25-year-old's signature, with the former Chelsea player joining on a deal running until 2031. Gallagher left the Blues for Atletico in August 2024 for about £33m, with Portugal forward Joao Felix - who has since left Chelsea - moving the other way. Gallagher has 22 caps for England but has played only once under current boss Thomas Tuchel, featuring for 59 minutes in a 3-1 friendly defeat by Senegal. He will hope a move back to the Premier League and impressing in Thomas Frank's side will boost his chances of making England's squad for this summer's World Cup. Tottenham Hotspur We're going to move on to Tottenham chat now, with Spurs manager Thomas Frank speaking to the media very soon. Frank is under huge pressure. Tottenham are 14th in the league table having won just one of their past six games in all competitions. Liverpool v Burnley (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Burnley Burnley boss Scott Parker on potential January transfer window signing: "We're hoping to. I think I always say there are so many different variables in that. We're active and trying to do that. It's a tough window, this window. It's a short window and right in the middle of the season. " Liverpool v Burnley (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Burnley Burnley boss Scott Parker revealed team news ahead of a visit to Liverpool: "Everyone else is fit and well, coming off the back of a big block of games. " Parker also said defender Joe Worrall is "close" to returning from injury and the club will make a call on his fitness this weekend, while forward Zian Flemming is out but could be back for the next match. We'll be focusing on Tottenham very soon, you won't want to miss Thomas Frank's news conference. But first, Burnley. .. Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Nottingham Forest Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche on team news: "[Ryan] Yates has been back on the grass with us and shown no signs of anything other than being recovered. Woody [Chris Wood] is making slow but sure progress and John Victor is injured unfortunately. He has had a minor operation on his knee so he will be out for a little bit but we are not sure on the timescale. " On Willy Boly and Ibrahim Sangare's return from Afcon: "They are back. Nothing too serious with them they are just recovering from travelling. " Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Nottingham Forest Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche on the comfort of the seven point gap from the bottom three: "It is not really about comfort, it is about pushing for more. We were in a pretty harsh position when we got here of two points inside the relegation zone and now we are seven points out of it so there are clear signs of change but we want more. It is not just about keeping looking over your shoulder. We have to be realistic but we have got to want more. " Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Nottingham Forest Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche was asked what positions he was looking at strengthening in this month: "The obvious one is the striking area because we are a bit short there. The club felt it was a really good deal for [Arnaud] Kalimuendo to go out. We are looking at various options to bring in. "That's the obvious one but you have to be ready for the shift in sand. The market is an unusual market in January so we have to be proactive where we can be and reactive if things change. "I have had a good meeting with the owner all the way through the structure about what we've got and what we need and it's aligning the right people but then it's getting the deals done and that is often the hardest part of the process - getting the deal done and getting the players here. " Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Karan Vinod BBC Sport Journalist Forest’s struggles were compounded by a damaging FA Cup exit to Wrexham, as they came from two goals behind to draw 3-3 before losing 4-3 on penalties. The defeat raised eyebrows, given Forest named a fairly strong side, with several first-team regulars involved, including Igor Jesus, Dan Ndoye, Oleksandr Zinchenko and goalkeeper Matz Sels. Sean Dyche did not hold back in his assessment of Forest’s performance, particularly after the defeat to Wrexham, as he labelled it unacceptable. After the match the former Forest youth player also revealed why certain players in the squad do not get the minutes they think they ought to. "I let the players know, and there are certain individuals that certainly know, and they have to look in the mirror. "But the strangeness of football, some players that came on in the second half were a credit, and we went on and looked like a Premier League side. "You can't do that in the first half; it's completely unacceptable. It's unacceptable to me, but I said you have to look in the mirror because that's unacceptable to the badge as well. "They all knock on the door and say, 'why aren't I playing? '. Well, the evidence is quite honestly there for some, not for all. " Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Karan Vinod BBC Sport Journalist Nottingham Forest’s task does not get any easier next, with a visit from the Premier League leaders Arsenal as Sean Dyche’s side look to steady themselves after a turbulent week. Coming off a bruising FA Cup exit and a damning public assessment from their manager, Forest will need a sharp response both in performance and mentality. Dyche has already made clear that standards must rise, particularly against elite opposition, and this fixture offers an immediate opportunity for players to prove their credentials. With the relegation battle tightening below them, Forest know results against the league’s strongest sides can still shape momentum, but any repeat of the first-half display against Wrexham is unlikely to go unpunished against Arsenal. Nottingham Forest v Arsenal (Sat, 17: 30 GMT) Nottingham Forest Our next news conference? Nottingham Forest. Nottingham Forest find themselves 17th in the Premier League, hovering just above the relegation zone after 21 matches. Sean Dyche’s side have won six, drawn three and lost 12, scoring 21 goals and conceding 34. Forest currently sit seven points clear of 18th-placed West Ham, who remain deep in trouble, but the gap offers only limited comfort with the bottom half tightly packed and form proving hard to sustain. With performances fluctuating and confidence fragile, Forest’s priority remains finding consistency, particularly at home, as the pressure gradually increases heading into the second half of the campaign. Sunderland v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Sunderland Sunderland boss Regis le Bris on players returning from AFCON: "I think they are happy to be back, and the players here, we are happy to have them once again in the group. Only two are missing now, Chemsdine [Talbi] and Habib [Diarra], which is good for them in one point. So now it's a question of playing and carrying this momentum to get better. Sunderland v Crystal Palace (Sat, 15: 00 GMT) Sunderland Sunderland boss Regis le Bris on injuries to Arthur Masuaku and Bertrand Traore, forcing them to act in the January transfer window: "I don't think it's connected. We expect probably three to four week time frame so we won't rush the process because it's better to give the strong rehabilitation programme, and they will be back soon, so it's not already well connected, and we have other options because we worked without him [Bertrand Traore] for almost four weeks. " We're rattling through these news conferences now. Next up, Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris. Sunderland take on out-of-form Crystal Palace this weekend. Leeds United v Fulham (Saturday, 15: 00 GMT) Leeds United Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on adding players in January: "I'm very confident we won't have a major turnaround. We had a big turnaround in the summer, we have done really well to bring six players in and to send six players out. We definitely won't extend the group because I think we have proper players and won't extend it to 30 outfield players. There is always space for one, perhaps two, three positions. " Leeds United v Fulham Leeds United Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on goalkeepers: "There is so much talking about goal keepers but I'm not tempted to speak too much about it. In the last 12 months it feels like we've had 10 press conferences just about the goalkeeper. I'm a bit tired of it. Last week I spoke on what I see and what our demands are of the situation, I don't want to do this on a weekly basis. You have to deliver on all positions, if you don't deliver you will be criticised. " Leeds United v Fulham Leeds United Leeds United boss Daniel Farke on Harry Gray loan to Rotherham: "I'm delighted, I think it's the perfect loan move for Harry in general. A young player should be developed step-by-step. On a youth level it's like you've out-grown your age group. We had this with Harry's brother Archie, and they don't go out on loan. It makes sense to think about a loan because you really develop when you play senior football, it's a different animal compared to youth football.
