Falkirk's comfortable victory at Hampden spelled the end of Callum Davidson's tenure as Queen's Park manager Callum Davidson was sacked as Queen's Park manager after a heavy defeat by Falkirk, who extended their lead in the Championship to eight points. Davidson masterminded a famous Scottish Cup victory over Rangers last month, but just one win in his past nine league outings spelled the end of his reign at the national stadium. Falkirk should have been ahead on 34 minutes after Calvin Miller was brought down in the box, but Brad Spencer made a hash of the penalty, hitting it straight down the middle into the arms of Calum Ferrie who didn't have to move. They didn't have to wait much longer for the opener though as Liam Henderson headed home before half-time. They then ran riot in the second half with further goals from Gary Oliver, Calvin Miller and Thomas Lang securing a comprehensive win. On a superb day for John Mc Glynn's side, fellow title chasers Ayr United and Livingston both dropped points with a loss at Partick Thistle and a draw at Airdrieonians, respectively.
