NFL After recently stepping away from television to focus on his health, Randy Moss shared an encouraging yet shocking update on Friday as the Pro Football Hall of Famer revealed his ongoing recovery from a battle with cancer. Moss, 47, detailed his diagnosis during an emotional appearance on Instagram Live just a week after ESPN announced the “NFL Countdown” mainstay would be taking an extended leave of absence due to an undisclosed health issue. The NFL icon told his supporters he’s now back home after a six-day stint in a Charlotte-area hospital following a six-hour surgery to treat cancer found, in Moss’ words, “in the bile duct right between the pancreas and the liver. ” Advertisement “Your boy is a cancer survivor, ” Moss said before thanking his family, doctors and a host of others, including his self-dubbed “prayer warriors. ” “… Some trying times, of course, but we made it through.
