Getting my first minutes was amazing. "Huge achievement for me, personally, because Rangers is a historic club and the shirt is heavy to wear and you feel it once you step on the pitch. I'm just honoured to wear the badge. "I don't think I have a so-called best position, I just call myself a midfielder. I can do everything in the midfield. " FT: Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells Premier Sports: "A clean sheet and five goals is always nice. In general, it was a good week for us. Some good results, good signings. All in, it went in the right direction. "I'm happy to see some players on the pitch again, and academy players. I'm proud of our development. The fans are back, six wins in a row. It's fantastic. But we cannot rest, we must be on the front foot. "For a centre-forward, it's a good opportunity to score. With Youssef and [Miovski], we have players scoring more and more. We need more goals, this is what I like to see. "It was important for me to see where they are, to give them some minutes. We can't come through the season with only 11 players. They showed they are ready and we need competition in the squad. " FT: Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Ryan Stevenson Former Hearts forward on BBC Sportsound You've got to applaud the fact you could see what Annan's gameplan was. On another night, one of the crosses falls to an Annan player and they score. Danny Rohl will be happy. A lot of questions will be answered. Some players didn't take their opportunities. When you go into games with lesser teams, you have to approach it like it's a big game. Show the manager you were at it, going to give everything. A lot of Rangers players in the first 30 minutes didn't do that. It could have been a different story if Miovski weren't so ruthless. FT: Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Derek Ferguson Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound Annan were always going to enjoy the occasion. They'll be sad they didn't get a goal because they deserved it and made enough opportunities. That would have been a nice moment and they gave a real good account of themselves. They can be proud of themselves. Some of them would've done a hard day's work. It's job done for Rangers and they'll be happy with their night's work. Rangers motored away in that second-half, didn't they? The subs made the difference, turning a disappointing night into a pleasing one. That final goal from Thelo Aasgaard, a fabulous free-kick from 30 yards out, put some gloss on the scoreline and is well worth watching when the highlights come out. Danny Rohl is probably pretty chuffed with that. Not too many headaches for him after that, and his side are comfortably through. Reaction to come. Bojan Miovski nets his penalty for a hat-trick Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Fair play to Annan, stuck to the task, fans should be proud, and hopefully earned the club a few quid. Good little team. William Watched 5 mins then switched to Emerdale. Gassama is a left winger, defence is a disaster. Sandy Findlay Curtis has only been the impressive player whose come out of the wilderness. Puzzled why he hasn't been used more. Chris Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Oh, Scott Hooper! The Annan defender is up from the back and it's laid off to him on the edge of the box. He curls with the left foot and picks out the side netting. That was only just wide! Rangers 5-0 Annan Athletic Ryan Stevenson Former Hearts forward on BBC Sportsound That is an unbelievable free-kick. There is a really good player in there, and I was looking forward to seeing him. What a skill to be able to do that. Thelo Aasgaard Mikey Moore takes a sore one, hauled to the floor by Annan sub Timam Scott before an Annan defender accidentally lands on his head. Free-kick from 30 yards out, and Aasgaard stands over it. Ohhhhhhhhh wow! He sticks it in the top corner. That's unbelievable. Rangers 4-0 Annan Athletic Thelo Aasgaard is played through on goal but his back is to goal when he collects it. He shields the ball from the keeper as the defenders fly back desperately, and one Annan man is able to block the shot. Big chance for a fifth. Rangers 4-0 Annan Athletic Rangers turning the screw looking for a fifth, as Annan really start to tire quite noticeably. The other most noticeable thing is how much of an impact these Rangers substitutes have made. They're all desperate to get on the ball and get involved. Bojan Miovski No surprise who wants to take this. It's Miovski from 12 yards. .. and he puts the keeper the wrong way for his hat-trick. Good penalty. A morale-boosting night for the North Macedonia international. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Scott Hooper with the tackle on Rabbi Matondo, who falls a little theatrically. We see it on the replay and you know what? He got clattered. Fair enough, good decision from Duncan Nicolson. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Here comes a man who I'm sure will be popular in these parts - it's Paul Mc Gowan. The 38-year-old broke through at Celtic before long spells at St Mirren and Dundee. A Rangers change, too. Mikey Moore, just 18 year-old, is on for Danilo. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Ryan Stevenson Former Hearts forward on BBC Sportsound You'd expect Rangers to be more assured than they are, especially in the first half. They should have dominated the ball, been stronger than Annan, don't let players go by them. There was too much of that in the first half. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Derek Ferguson Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Sportsound Yes, Rangers are cruising at the moment but you're still kind of disappointed. A lot of the players' output, you're expecting a certain level, and I think they've underperformed for large periods. People might think that's harsh, but that's the reality. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Almost a fourth for Rangers. Rabbi Matondo whips in a cross from the left. Charlie Albinson palms away and an Annan defender tries to clear. It cannons off a Rangers player and Albinson has to save again! We come back for a foul on Matondo. Change still on. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Think we rather jinxed that. Kieran Dowell is replaced. Thelo Aasgaard is on in his place, with Toki Chukwuani also coming on for his debut. He replaces Joe Rothwell. Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic A goal on a rare start for Kieran Dowell, who has been one of Rangers' better performers this evening. Dowell celebrates his third Rangers goal Rangers 3-0 Annan Athletic Here comes Rabbi Matondo on the left. He jinks inside and unleashes, but his shot isn't on target. A clear statement of intent from the Rangers sub. He wants to prove a point. Rangers got into their groove after Bojan Miovski (number 28) scored his second At a glance Miovski hat-trick helps Rangers to five-goal cup win over Annan Dowell & Aasgard also on target Chukwuani & Lawson make Rangers debuts as substitutes Bojan Miovski scored a hat-trick as a fringe Rangers side breezed past Annan Athletic in the Scottish Cup at Ibrox. Rangers led when Miovski swept past debutant Charlie Albinson following Danilo's pass and Kieran Dowell and Findlay Curtis, who were two of nine changes for the hosts, combined to set up Miovski's headed second. Joe Rothwell, who like Curtis and Dowell has been linked with a January move, chipped for Dowell to nod his first goal of the season. Miovski converted a penalty and Thelo Aasgaard's stunning free-kick made it five on a night when home supporters were introduced to January captures Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen prior to kick-off. The midfielder's dead ball strike sailed past Charlie Albinson from around 30 yards in what was a sumptuous effort from the substitute. It had actually been the League 2 visitors that asked the early questions with Tommy Muir attempting to catch Rangers' stand-in captain Liam Kelly off guard with a dipping volley over the bar. However, after the Miovski first-half double, Curtis lobbed on to the crossbar and Miovski was denied by Albinson's save at close range. Jayden Meghoma, set to compete with Rommens for the left-back role, did superbly to set up Danilo for a curling shot off target and Curtis came close again before 17-year-old attacker Zebedee Lawson debuted off Rangers' bench, soon followed by midfielder Chukwuani. Aasgaard and Rabbi Matondo also appeared from the side and Aasgaard's fiercely struck free-kick was headed just wide by Matondo, who was later fouled by Scott Hooper for the Miovski spot-kick. Hooper almost got one back with what would have been a memorable strike, the ball flashing into the side netting. Annan Athletic player-manager Wullie Gibson: "A lot of positives, although we come away on a 5-0 defeat. We know it's sore but we knew the quality we were up against. I was really proud of the way we played. We did create chances. "They're good players, they know how to move the ball that quickly and get into the areas that hurt you. The fifth goal just tops it off, it shows you the quality that's in the side. " Rate players out of 10 for this game. The rater will close 30 minutes after the final whistle.
