Enjoy the rest of your weekend. FT: Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "Very important to get the three points. We know the table, we need wins. It's a good starting point to turn things around, it was a good step forward. "It's still a long journey, but I'm happy today for the club, the staff and the players. I enjoyed to see my team today. Not everything was perfect, but I saw a lot of good things. "The players said after the game it was a good step forward, so with this we can build something. "I was really happy with our counter-pressing. We were very aggressive. Even if it was not allowed, the fourth goal was a good example of that. This is how we should play. "Today I saw a lot of good things and it's great when players start to score and we create chances because then they go home with self confidence. If you have that and belief and we are strong on the pitch, we feel we can control the game. "When you take over and you see the schedule, the pressure is on. Every result is important. " On Youssef Chermiti, who scored his first Rangers goal, Rohl added: "I think he is also demanding on himself. We will improve him step by step. He has something special. "Still things to improve, especially with the pressing, but I think he should enjoy the goal today and tomorrow. We can work on the next parts of his game. " FT: Aberdeen 1-2 Hibernian Hibs boss David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "Delighted with the result firstly, difficult place to come. " "Players were fantastic, deserved the three points. All in all, we fully deserved the win. Delighted with that. "We can only control our level, we selected a team to be on the front foot aggressive and I thought that worked well. "History tells you this is a hard place to come and win. " FT: Aberdeen 1-2 Hibernian Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "The performance today was not good enough. "How we balance the team is not at the right level. We are not strong enough in the competitive side of the game. It was too easy for them to get into our box. "I think the first part of the game was OK. We had a really good chance, missed it and then Hibs got the momentum. They were much more dangerous on the transition than we were. "That's understandable [fan frustration]. I can control my job and focus on that, I can't focus on the noise. We know we need to win games, that's the only thing I focus on. "We are a collective but also need to grow as individuals. When the chances arrive, we need to be sharp, but we're also allowing too many easy chances against us. "To see the table, it's not a nice feeling right now. We feel we are going in the right direction. I am still convinced we can turn this round, we have to. "Right now we have to stand up more in this moment and not let players run through us like what happened in Athens and today. " FT: Aberdeen 1-2 Hibernian You can hear Dons boss Jimmy Thelin's post-match reaction on Sportsound right now. We'll have quotes from the disappointed Swede here shortly. .. A very strange looking division this season. At long last Rangers pick up their first home win of the league season. They were pegged back level, but ultimately Danny Rohl's side looked very comfortable in the second half. A tough afternoon for Kilmarnock, who sit eighth. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock Rangers have scored four goals via substitutes in the Premiership this season, no team has more. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock And after all of that, the on-field decision stands. Zzzzzzzz. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock A very lengthy VAR check is on the go for this disallowed Nico Raskin goal. It's tight. .. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock Nico Raskin has the ball in the back of the net, but his celebrations are short-lived as the offside flag goes up. It's being checked, though. .. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock Lyall Cameron looks to get himself on the scoresheet, but Eddie Beach holds on to the midfielder's strike. Rangers 3-1 Kilmarnock Ben Brannan is coming on for Killie, replacing replaces Robbie Deas. Rangers are the final Scottish Premiership club to win a home game this season At a glance Chermiti scores first goal in two-and-a-half years to give Rohl debut domestic win Danilo & Cornelius also net for Rangers either side of Stanger strike Rangers move up to fifth, with Kilmarnock slipping to eighth Danny Rohl's first domestic game in charge ended with Rangers' first home league win of the season, with Youssef Chermiti's goal completing an ultimately comfortable win over Kilmarnock. The Ibrox side were the only Scottish Premiership team yet to win at home before this, but three points moves them up to fifth place and within five of city rivals Celtic, albeit they still trail pace-setters Hearts by 13 points. Portuguese striker Chermiti - who has been much maligned since his reported £8m arrival from Everton - put the gloss on a tidy performance with his first goal in two and a half years. The 21-year-old's ferocious strike from distance deceived goalkeeper Eddie Beach and came after fellow forward Danilo ended a league drought that stretched back to the New Year derby against Celtic. His header from an excellent Jayden Meghoma cross shortly after the break settled any nerves after a dogged Kilmarnock had cancelled out Rangers' early advantage, earned thanks to Derek Cornelius' header from a James Tavernier free-kick. Rangers boss Rohl dismisses Martin comparisons - gossip Latest Rangers news, analysis and fan views 'Red flags for Rohl as Rangers routed in first game' Rangers' early dominance didn't last the half, though, after goalkeeper Jack Butland completely missed an inswinging corner, allowing George Stanger to stab in an equaliser from close range. Butland's opposite number Beach almost had a horror moment of his own when his attempted clearance clattered off Cornelious and rebounded for Bojan Miovski to score, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside. Kilmarnock's discipline and energy kept them in the match, even after Danilo nodded in off the post shortly after the break, but a second equaliser proved beyond them and Chermiti's fine hit put the result beyond doubt. Frustration, then, for Stuart Kettlewell's visitors but a much-needed victory for Rohl as he tries to find his best side and formation. It will take time but at least he's sent the Rangers faithful away savouring three points at home for the first time this term. There was more energy in the Rangers team here. They moved the ball faster and got up the pitch quicker. Rohl had also clearly instructed Thelo Aasgaard and Djeidi Gassama to get higher up the pitch when the Ibrox side were in comfortable possession, effectively giving them a front four with Danilo and Bojan Miovski. Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande provided a strong base in midfield and, while they are very far from the finished article, the early signs appear promising. There was an energy and resilience about Rangers. They scored three goals and very nearly had a fourth, Nico Raskin being denied by the tighest of VAR offside calls. Rohl's side will now approach two huge matches this week with a dollop of confidence restored, albeit some familiar old failings remaining in evidence. Goalkeeper Butland failing to deal with a routine corner, for one. Kilmarnock's determination and organisation was to be admired. They defended with honesty and commitment, which meant they were always in the match until Chermiti's killer third 15 minutes from time. They rode their luck and weren't able to pose enough questions to their hosts at the other end of the field. Rangers, ultimately had a little too much quality. This defeat is unlikely to derail what's been a solid start to the season, though, with the Ayrshire side right in the mix for the top six in a very congested table. Rangers head coach Danny Rohl: "Very important to get the three points. We know the table, we need wins. It's a good starting point to turn things around, it was a good step forward. "It's still a long journey, but I'm happy for the club, the staff and the players. I enjoyed seeing my team. Not everything was perfect, but I saw a lot of good things. " Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell: "We've conceded six goals in two games. You look at the nature of those goals, it's completely unacceptable. "Sometimes players make mistakes, they're human beings, but when we collect the six goals over two games it becomes something we have to rectify. We can't just accept that. " It's a big week for both clubs. Rangers travel to Easter Road on Wednesday to face Hibs (19: 45 GMT), before meeting Celtic at Hampden in Sunday's League Cup semi-finals (14: 00). Kilmarnock host Aberdeen on Wednesday (19: 45), before a trip to Falkirk on Saturday (15: 00).
