Carlo Ancelotti's side are in a difficult run of form following the 2-0 defeat by the Reds at Anfield on Wednesday night, which left them 24th in the Champions League table - the final qualification place to reach the knockout stage. They are also second to rivals Barcelona in La Liga, four points behind - though they do have a game in hand. It was expected that Los Blancos would kick on this season further following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, but the season has been stop-start for the team and a number of players. Rarely, however, has Ancelotti been able to field is favoured team, with a number of players dealing with various injuries, including some serious ones. Ballon d'Or runner-up Vinicius Jnr, for example, missed the Liverpool game with a muscle issue. And they have now been dealt their latest blow, with the club confirming Eduardo Camavinga has suffered a leg injury, and Fabrizio Romano reporting that he will be out for two to three weeks. A Real Madrid star is reportedly facing up to three weeks on the sidelines with a muscle injury Eduardo Camavinga hobbled off early on in the second half against Liverpool on Wednesday Real Madrid confirmed that he had suffered a muscle injury in a statement on Thursday 'After the tests carried out today on Eduardo Camavinga by the club's medical department, the player has been diagnosed with a muscular injury in the biceps femoris of his left leg, ' a medical report on the club website read. 'His progress will be monitored. ' Camavinga went off injured against Liverpool, having started the game in central midfield. He was replaced by Dani Ceballos moments before Alexis Mac Allister scored Liverpool's opening goal. The 22-year-old has been a key player for Madrid this season, making nine appearances, including four in the Champions League. He did miss the opening few weeks of the current campaign due to a knee injury, but had returned to full fitness before picking up his latest issue and now faces another spell on the sidelines. If he is out for three weeks, he could miss up to six Madrid games, including the Intercontinental Cup - formerly the Club World Cup - final just before Christmas. The final, which will be played on December 18, is 20 days away, meaning he is in a race against time to be fit for that game, with Madrid's opponents still to be decided. Madrid will also face Getafe, Atletico Bilbao, Girona, Atalanta and Rayo Vallecano in that time too as a busy festive period gets underway. Ceballos is the natural replacement for the Frenchman, while a number of other options are also currently sidelined with their own injuries.
