Mount has been absent since the Manchester derby in mid-December after suffering the latest setback in an injury-hit career at United since joining from Chelsea for £60million in the summer of 2023. But after missing the last 19 games for Ruben Amorim's side, Mount was seen back training with his team-mates at Carrington Wednesday morning as United prepared for the second leg against Sociedad. The teams are level at 1-1 in the last 16 tie following last week's first leg in San Sebastian. The 26-year-old is one of a number of United payers who have been out of action with Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez set to miss the rest of the season and Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Altay Bayindir and Jonny Evans all on the sidelines recently. Speaking before last weekend's draw with Arsenal, Amorim predicted Mount's comeback as he said: 'Kobbie can return. Maguire we have to be careful. Manu will return.   'I think Luke Shaw and Mason Mount can return also. They are definitely going to return, especially Mason Mount. ’ Mason Mount also here having not played since mid-Dec and one of several players getting the customary welcome back #mufc pic. twitter. com/P40s M8FJJ9 Mason Mount (third left, bottom row) is back training after an extended spell on the sidelines
