It is a first senior call-up for 22-year-old Mulligan, who has impressed after switching from Dundee to Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian this summer. Rangers 23-year-old Barron has one cap, having made his debut as a substitute in the June friendly win over Liechtenstein. He and Mulligan replace Bologna's Lewis Ferguson and Bournemouth's Ryan Christie, who are both suspended for Sunday's Group C game after picking up bookings in Thursday's 3-1 win over Greece at Hampden Park. Head coach Steve Clarke had said after the game: "Aaron was actually a doubt to start the game after picking up a small knock to his knee and I think he's just aggravated it. " Clarke had already called up Derby County's Max Johnston as cover. Hickey only recently returned to full fitness this season after a two-year struggle with a recurring hamstring injury.
