Crystal Palace have won their last four Premier League games against Southampton, as many as they had in their first 25 against them in the competition beforehand (D7 L14). Southampton have lost each of their last nine Premier League home games. In English top-flight history, the only sides to endure longer home losing runs within a single season are Birmingham (10 from Oct 1985-Feb 1986) and Watford (11 from Dec 2021 to Apr 2022). Crystal Palace have won each of their last three Premier League games; the Eagles last won four in a row in the competition from February to June 2020 under Roy Hodgson. Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last nine away league games (W6 D3), just one short of their longest ever unbeaten run on the road in their league history of 10 matches, achieved four times previously (most recently April 1979 in the second tier). The Eagles have also won their last four Premier League away games; only in February 2004 in the second tier have they ever won five away league fixtures in a row.
