Stuart Armstrong (left) scored two goals in 10 MLS appearances for Vancouver Whitecaps Sheffield Wednesday have signed Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Stuart Armstrong. The 32-year-old Scotland international joined the MLS side on a deal until the end of 2026 in September last year after leaving Southampton. He made 191 league appearances for the Saints in six seasons and worked with Owls head coach Danny Rohl during his time at St Mary's. Armstrong could make his debut in Saturday's home game against Luton in the Championship. Wednesday have not disclosed the length of contract he has signed with them. "Although I was only in Vancouver for a short time, I am extremely grateful for the kindness I received from the club and the fans, " Armstrong told the Whitecaps website, external. "I am also so thankful to have been a part of one of the best groups of people I have ever met.
