It is over to Aston Villa, therefore, who have been Disasi's preference. The issue is Chelsea see Villa as direct rivals for a Champions League place, so they would have preferred to do business with Tottenham. However, Disasi rejected a move to Spurs, who have already signed one central defender this winter in the shape of Austria international Kevin Danso. Disasi has fallen out of favour under Enzo Maresca, who has transformed the Blues since taking charge in the summer. The French defender has been limited to only six appearances in the Premier League this term, with the vast majority of his minutes coming in the Europa Conference League.
