Szczesny was amongst a shortlist of names to step into the void between the posts at the La Liga and Champions League competitors, as well as former Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas. Szczesny last week admitted that 'it would be disrespectful on my part not to consider' the offer made by Barcelona.   'I greatly respect the history of Barca. it is one of the best clubs in the world, '. the 34-year-old told Spanish outlet SPORT  'I understand the difficult situation that has arisen after Marc-André ter Stegen's injury and I think it would be disrespectful on my part not to consider this option.
