Andre helped Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores in 2023 Wolves have completed the signing of Brazil midfielder Andre from Fluminense in a deal that could be worth up to £21m. Andre won the Copa Libertadores - South America's equivalent of the Champions League - with Fluminense in 2023 and has five caps. He arrives at Molineux for an initial £18. 5m, plus up to £2. 5m in add-ons. The 23-year-old saw a move to Fulham fall through earlier in the window after he said he would be keen on a move to the Premier League. Speaking about their latest recruit, the club's sporting director Matt Hobbs said: "It’s one that I thought we were going to miss out on, so I'm unbelievably excited to have him come and join us. "He’s physically good and we think he’ll thrive in the Premier League. It's a player that we're picking on the way up - he's not coming to us having won his trophies on the way down. " The West Midlands club also signed England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone for £10m from Crystal Palace and Ajax winger Carlos Forbs on loan. Forbs, 20, joined Ajax from Manchester City in 2023 without making a senior appearance for Pep Guardiola's side. The Portugal U21s international made 37 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three times, and has featured in six games for Ajax this term. Andre's arrival means they have signed eight players this summer with England Under-21s midfielder Tommy Doyle, Portuguese winger Rodrigo Gomes, Brazilian defender Pedro Lima, French youth international defender Bastien Meupiyou and Norway striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, who is on loan from Celta Vigo also joining Gary O'Neil's squad. Meanwhile, Fabio Silva has left the club to join La Liga side Las Palmas on a season-long loan. Wolves broke their transfer record when they signed Silva as an 18-year-old from Porto for £35. 6m in 2020.
