Wrexham have revealed a club record turnover in their latest financial results. The League One club's statements for the year ending on June 30, 2024 were released on Monday, revealing a turnover of over £26. 7million. This is up from £10. 5million the previous year. The record figure represents an increase of 115 per cent from 2023. Overall, the Red Dragons made a loss of £2. 7million, down from £5. 1m 12 months earlier. Wrexham have also confirmed that they have repaid loans of £15million and interest to owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mc Elhenney. As a result, the club are now free of all loans towards their shareholders. The 2023/24 season saw Wrexham secure a second consecutive promotion where they finished as runners-up in League Two. Phil Parkinson's side gained a return to League One for the first time in 19 years. Meanwhile, their popularity has continued to rise overseas, most notably in North America. This is largely thanks to the success of the Welcome to Wrexham series, with the third season of the documentary airing last year. Wrexham are now looking to move forward with the redevelopment of the Racecourse Ground. The 13, 341-capacity stadium has been their home since the club was founded in 1864. Planning permission was approved earlier this month to construct a new Kop Stand. The work will see a 5, 500-seater stand built behind the goal, with the potential for it to hold up to 7, 500 supporters in the future. On the field, it could be another successful season for Wrexham this term. With seven matches remaining, the club sit second in League One, behind leaders Birmingham. However, promotion rivals Wycombe are just three points behind them with a game in hand. A third promotion in a row would secure just a fifth ever season in the second tier of English football. It would also be Wrexham's first time playing at that level for 43 years following relegation back in 1982. © 2025 talk SPORT Limited
